Of course you aren't going to find a woman hosting the baftas but complaining about glass ceilings funny. She was good in Pain & Gain, but saying that she was only in it for 5 minutes. Not sure how her humour translates into movies where she'd be expected to be on screen for 90 minutes, but saying that only the best actors or actresses get those roles, if you aren't the best you're going to be a supporting actress instead. Nobody wants to see a second rate actress playing Maleficent instead of Angelina Jolie for example. So in the best movies she's probably only ever going to be supporting, unless she goes for a shit movie where she can be a big fish in a small pond and get the leading role. Simon pegg is a good male equivalent. He isn't going to get a leading role in a blockbuster movie. Like in mission impossible he was a supporting actor. Unless he stars in a shit movie then of course he can take the mantle (shaun of the dead was hardly high art).

The fact Steve carells fame is largely due to Ricky Gervais at the moment as Ricky write the US office script. The 2 names you named are in no way the best to deliver this kind of monologue.
