It was so much fun to hear Austin let his twang loose. As soon as he opened his mouth, I knew he was going to match Brooke's. Usually when Adam's hair is very long he wears a bandana to keep it controlled, or uses a ponytail, so you don't really notice how long it is. If you really want a Chance thrill, check out his new single. It's VERY good. "Far From Any Road". Then for a grin, check out Austin's newest, "Bro Do You Even Fish?" They are both 'only' vocals at this point, but well wroth the listening IMHO.

Great reaction! Please, please some musts for Chance: I Can’t Outrun You Yours Some Girls Do Dive Bar Saints He and Tim tag-team in Folsom Prison Blues, Hillbilly Bone, In the Blood and Brothers in Arms. Also, Chance does some great lead verses in Heaven and One Man Band. He has a rich, smooth, warm baritone bass that is a hidden weapon and staple of Home Free songs. Keep the Home Free coming, they never disappoint!

This was filmed at Goldfield Ghost Town in Apache Junction Arizona. The mountains in the background are the Famous Superstition Mountains where the Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine is supposed to be Located. I live just down the road from this. The song is wonderful and love their costumes. Austin Brown is dressed like Clint Eastwood in one of his old westerns, Tim Foust is dressed like Kurt Russell portraying Wyatt Earp in the movie Tombstone.

Austin unleashed his full Georgia accent here. He worked very hard to suppress that during his theatrical music training. After he joined Home Free, he had to let it go again. Tim comes by his Texas "drawl" naturally and Chance grew up in Alabama so there is nothing fake about their country sound.

Austin can still sing without the accent. Check out a song called "Your Bed", which he and Sebi Douyon produced from a demo, one of four by the same composer (ResurrecSis Music). This one is pure Broadway and Austin sings it with accent to match - totally neutral (I think he did it just to prove the point). The raw screaming blues called "Empty House" also sounds to me without twang.

What a great rendition of a very sad and remarkable song! One of the songwriters wrote this about his mother who killed herself ( faded rose from days gone by, "and did I hear ya say, He was meetin' you here today, to take you to His mansion in the sky" . Brooke Eden and Home Free absolutely nailed this, right down to the dead flowers❤

Chance has just released a new track featuring Mercy Bell and Adam Rupp, called Far From Any Road, and it's superb! He doesn't get a huge look in when it comes to HF because he's so solid in the background, but his own tracks are brilliant.

Do not know if Adam Rupp is still doing it but he used grow his hair long and then donate it to a charity. Then they use the hair to make wigs for people suffering hair loss from chemo etc. Really glad I am subscribed to your channel. Enjoyed your reaction. Be well.

If you don't recognize Austin's look you need to finds yourself some spaghetti westerns to watch. Clint Eastwood did three westerns in 1964-66 playing essentially the same character even though he had a different name in each movie. The name from movie #3 stuck and he's called Blondie aka The Man with No Name. The movie were filmed mostly in Spain but the crew was largely Italian, under the helm of Italian director Sergio Leone, hence the label 'spaghetti western'.

I imagine Austin was happy that he could just let his accent fly. Such a wonderful version. It's a bit funny, Rob, Chance and Adam went for generic western costumes, Austin decided on a Clint Eastwood movie and Tim is channeling Tombstone. Adam has grown his hair out twice to donate to wigs for kids charity. This is his third time growing it out (and probably the last, as he's got some hints of grey coming in). Once you get to know them, you can practically figure out the year a video was filmed based on hair and beard lengths / styles. Brooke toured with them for part of their Christmas tour this last December. Hubby and I got to hear this live, so I was excited to see they were recording it with her.

Poor Chance gets so slept on when people start reacting to HF because he doesn’t have major parts in their most popular covers. And it’s a shame because he has probably my favorite voice of the whole group. So warm and rich and just a very soothing baritone. It’s like getting a comforting hug when he sings! 😊 “Cover Me Up” is probably my favorite Chance lead.

I love Chance in The Hound and The Fox's video A Whistling Lad. He does other songs with them as well, he has such a beautiful voice, so much soul and emotion in a gritty but smooth way...which sounds confusing, but is the best I can do.

You could go mad trying to describe the particular charm of Adam C's voice! My favorite aspect is the incredible "inward" effect, where it's like he's murmuring in your ear, or talking to himself. Check out his version of Pancho and Lefty, where he brings out all the mysterious gaps in the story, as if that's all he remembers from so long ago. Jen Glatzhofer explained that most of this is done by not opening the mouth much, so more air comes out, but not so much that it becomes breathy. But that doesn't explain the tone of tiredness/pain/resignation he can convey. The one I love best out of his songs with H&F is Wandering Stranger. I've left instructions to my niece that it should be sung at my funeral - should have everyone in tears.

@@patriciamcl54 I have listened to everything of his I can find, and I love Jen's channel, I watch her quite often! I love how unique and distinct each of their voices are, each evokes such different emotional responses in me. I don't understand how someone can have a favourite. I mean, I understand the concept, but their talents are all so strong and individual, I love them all, as part of HF and separately. Music has always fascinated me. I have no talent for it, so I am gobsmacked when I come across people with such overwhelming amounts of it.

What even was that? you ask well that was pure classic country perfection😂 Home Free has a way of making their covers of songs better.I didn’t like this song growing up but I absolutely love Home Free’s version and Brooke has an amazing voice That Poncho and hat Austin’s wearing was worn by Clint Eastwood in some of his movies like his 1967 movie For A Dollars More Chance lead songs Some Girls Do,Born in The USA, Cover Me Up, Can’t Outrun You,Dive Bar Saints, Think A Little Less. Love this! The boys are so good. Loved Tim’s lows and Austin’s highs. Brooke was great. Loved the boys as cowboys. Austin looked like Clint Eastwood in his poncho and Tim looked like part of the movie Tombstone (with Kurt Russell). Loved the setting too. Good reaction DJ!🥰

Chance has quite a few songs on youube, with HF, with Hound and Fox, solo, and with others. My two favorites that aren't with HF are "Driver's License" (solo) and "Wayfaring Stranger" (with Hound and Fox). But then there's the treasure chest with Home Free ... happy times! "Cover Me Up" is probably #1, but take your pick. He's got the voice to do so much that the choices won't leave you disappointed. "Delta Dawn" has been sung by quite a few lovely singers, but the one I remember best is Tanya Tucker's version. And yes, Brooke's voice is very similar to hers. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. It's always more fun to listen to great music with friends ;)

Loved your reaction! Such a great song! Bette Midler did it first in 1971 but I remember Tanya Tucker & Helen Reddy's versions. The guys did a really nice job backing up Brooke Eden on this song. They never take away from a guest vocalist. And how cool did they all look dressed in the western theme. Reminded me of the Clint Eastwood spaghetti western movies I used to watch.

Helen Reddy and Bette Midler recorded it in the early 70s along with then 13 year old Tanya Tucker but Tanya's version has become the standard and established her career.

But I think Tanya Tucker only reached #10 in the country charts, while Helen Reddy hit #1 on about eight different charts in multiple countries. The song was originally written to start with the verse, but Tanya’s manager suggested starting with the a cappella chorus first. Most other covers I’ve heard follow that lead.

I had the pleasure of seeing Brooke Eden with Home Free on their Christmas/Holiday tour this past year. She was awesome.

They did Tanya Tucker proud. This was another winner. I think Tim, Austin and Adam were born for this look. WOW!!! The little extras they added just make it amazing. Adam grows his hair out every now and then and has it cut to donate it for people fighting cancer to have wigs. He is so wonderful that way. They all find their own ways of giving back. it's so cool.

Wonderful reaction! I didn't care for the other versions of the song, but Home Free can transform any song, they are simply awesome and the lady has a beautiful voice. I think Tim staying in his lower range and her voice were a perfect match and they all looked really good in their western garb, Austin looks like Clint Eastwood in that poncho... made this grandma forget to be old for a few minutes. I read somewhere that Adam grows his hair out to cut and donate to one of the wig charities for sick children.

Also, the lyrics inote that Delta Down lived in Brownsville, which is a Texas town only two miles from the Mexican border. The pancho's orgin is from Mexico.

Just got home from seeing them live in concert featuring Maggie Baugh. They did this and it was GREAT!! Really enjoyed the concert !!!!! They sound even better in person!!!!!!

Austin is in a Clint Eastwood western Tim and Adam Rupp seem to be portraying Wyatt Earp they are shooting this in old Tucson film set or King Ranch in New Mexico. Watch the movie Tombstone with Kevin Costner or the one with Kirt Russell 😊❤😂

As for Eli’s high tenor, another reviewer showed how his highest note here was F5, the same high note that Whitney Houston hits. That is pretty darn impressive for anyone.

LOL... Austin's a Georgia boy. That twang is authentic. He reels it in a lot on most songs, but his normal speaking voice is quite twangy (& totally charming). Tim sometimes has to "translate" what Austin says to folks who aren't used to the accent. 😁
