what i love about elvis is he owns everything he did and didn’t give a f what people thought about his performing and goofing around. he wanted to entertain and make people smile and was never insecure about his outfits or stage presence

FUN FACT: If you pay attention to Elvis when the beat of the song starts to pick up, every time he starts beating his chest with both fists, he’ll look toward Ronnie Tutt the drummer indicating to Ronnie that he wants more! Elvis had a very great way of communicating to his performers and background singers. They had to be VERY perfect.

Do you know why they started saying “Elvis has left the building” ? Cuz during earlier performances the crowd, females mostly would hop on to the stage to get a piece of him & would rip his clothes off him, fight over stuff to get a piece of him. Elvis & his band would have to run off & run to the cars to get away. So, by them saying “ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING”, hopefully the crowd would not continue to destroy.
