Testing that Mysterious Mirror Paint...

3 жыл бұрынIt's time to test that mysterious mirror paint that has been all the hype this year. This stuff has been coined, "liquid mirror paint in a bottle" due to its alleged intense reflectivity. It was made by Stuart Semple - the guy who is notorious for creating the world's blackest, goldest, silveriest, etc paints! Anyway, we're going to put it to the test and see if it really is as reflective as it claims!
A few of my friends have also tested this mirror paint, so I wanted to take the opportunity to shout them out and tell you to subscribe to their channels! :)

Day 3 of the migraine … just the wrong timing as I have to do some tests in the hospital on Tuesday but guess than it will be all ‘normal’ again like always :/

Love your videos! I’m hooked on the needle felting, after watching you! I also have Culture Hustle paints, there’s a huge canvas waiting to be decorated by them, but WOWSERS, it’s going to take up a lot of space in my house!

Wowzers!!! I saw Chloe, Rae, and Emily's videos but yours convinced me I need to try this product! I'm planning a Snow White watercolor piece and I think Mirror paint might fit in nicely. I LOVED how it brought such a different feel to your galaxy print and the eye on black was super cool. Keep creating and sending lots of good vibes through the universe your way! I was just watching an older video of yours, where you painted your sketchbook cover with gouache. I’m starting a new sketchbook and have never tried painting the cover.. so I wanted inspiration! And look at that, even more came ☺️💛

I was hoping you were going to draw a mirror in the mini sketch book with the paint, then do a frame around it in other paint. Maybe in a future mini sketchbook video?

This is such a cool paint. I wonder how it mixes with other materials, like water, acrylic or oil paint. But it probably works best as a last touch.

Wonderful video Miranda! I believe you might need a more powerful solvent to clean your brushes and other surfaces. I hope you do more with the gold paint from Semple. Why not try some negative space pieces? I am looking forward to more longer term projects too! I hope you have a "Wozzers" of a day!

This is super pretty. I have to say though that I have a silver Uni oil-based paint marker that has a very similar effect. I know Stuart's paints are one of a kind shades but they do have a price tag that reflects that (haha, no pun intended 😂) so maybe if you were just going to use it for accents like stars etc it would be more cost effective to grab one of the markers instead? @mirabyler would you consider doing a tutorial video on how you paint water? I've been loving all of your water paintings and seeing that tiny one in your tiny sketchbook has made me really want to be able to do that! I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate it. 😊

Wowzers! You should do a painting of like a wall of mirrors! Regular paint for the frames and the wall, but use this paint for the mirrors!

I can't wait for all the upcoming "Trying a bunch of stuuurff" 😍🙌❤️I hate the whole re-inventing the spoon sort of this. It's just bottled chrome paint - smells the same, looks the same performs the same, only different is that it is poured instead of sprayed. Love your video though regardless 🤗❤️ Xx

Wowzer that stuff is shiny. It would-be good if you had a car or motorcycle to put chrome bumpers or wheels on. Ooh maybe a nice Sword or Armor? Piles of silver coins and silver candlesticks and use the gold paint for some gold bars and some treasure cave. A crown? I think there is something you can get at the hardware store that you can paint on the back of a piece of glass, and turn it into a mirror. They have paint that turns something into a chalkboard too.
