The stuff TBS has done for the scene cannot be understated, since T7 your guides legit have been the actual pinnacle in not only fighting games, but multiplayer guides in general, any gaming scene would be blessed to have these resources this well put together but especially Tekken. Massive projects like The Devil Jin full breakdown to small things like basic systems overviews or update changes are something Tekken really needed and imo the way they are packaged on this channel, concise and very clear, is something other scenes should want to have (not including your very own videos in other fighting game scenes). Keep up the awesome stuff and I cant wait to see what you got coming for Tekken 8.

Fantastic breakdown as per usual. Can't wait for Reina and DvJ ones. T8 Jin is so fun it's crazy. Only thing I can hope for is return of T7 moves he lost (like old Zen 1-2, zen 2 and zen 1+2) Ps: 4:05 even though its not as strong as before Jin still can cancel it semi-safely into up/back input. It's incredibly tight (even more so than 3-1 zen cancel combos in T7) but allows to be safe from 13f moves and so is a way into his super optimal combos. Don't want to sound negative or like 🤓 but gotta write it for people who don't know lmao

Thank you for this video! It’s a good way to verify how each character now plays and keep it in mind while training with my main. Started to play the game yesterday night. I am absolutely adoring it. I’ve been playing Tekken since T5 and have played all the games ever since. I’m finding T8 to be a vast improvement from T7. Very fun game. I love how stylish everything looks and how much content there is! Can’t wait for the rest specially on Kazuya, Yoshimitsu, Reina, and last but never least muh girl Asuka Kazama.

I was SO waiting for a video to come out on this channel! As a legacy player of this game, I'm so happy that they fixed the things that I didn't like since the closed beta of July 2023. Jin is my main since Tekken 4, but in 7 I couldn't really use him because of it's demands in execution and gameplan (also because I'm not a very good player, but I'm working on that XD ); but now that I tried him in the demo, I'm pretty sure I can continue to have fun with this character. Your content is always the best Arya, thank you for the passion you put in this.

I'd like to add that with the new stun link on ch 4 you can consider db4 being buffed because people always liked to jab at Jin after db4 hits. It traded with df1 check. Now to make them respect you can set up a trade with that ch4 which will guarantee a launcher for huge total dmg. And I think it was intentional. That will work at any level. People did like to spam jabs at -3.

Mr. Salami, just a quick fyi, safe Zanshin / Zen cancel still DOABLE. After a Zen cancel, immediately press side step left (when you're on the left side) then press back immediately to block. You have to do it quick because it requires technical movement. So after zen cancel, immediately SS then B to safely cancel it. Try it out please 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I’d love if you color coded the buttons again like you did for Tekken 7. I don’t actually play tekken so idk if this is how the buttons are in 8, but it makes for a nicer video imo. Also I love your content been watching for years.

We didn't go over punishment here, but overall I'd say Jin's punishment has been dumbed down. There's basically no reason to not do 2,4 -> ZEN every time, unless the opponent recovers crouching or is out of range. That gives you +14 in ZEN which forces a mixup that they can't interrupt or step. Basically just punish everything under -15 with Jin's i10 punisher.

Sad to see Jins execution and range issues removed. I think it makes sense to make a main character accessible and well rounded though.

You CAN frame-perfect ZEN Cancel and *make it 100% safe on block:* it takes elite execution from the player, and it's not only possible but desirable that the Jin player master it. I covered this on my channel if you wanna check it out. 😄 Overall, amazing quality production from TBS as always.

Small correction. Yiu still can zen cancel. It just requires an additional input making it a bit more difficult than before
