I am more than jealous of you two. I would love to do what y’all are doing. I’m 56 and my artificial knee and wore out rotator cuff makes it hard to do much digging. Enjoy your youth and please keep doing what y’all are doing. Between y’all, Brian,Dan, Pauly and many others I get to see a lot of beautiful things. Thanks again and good luck to all.

I think cutting geodes open is the way to go. All the voices in my head start yelling when people smash them open...OK maybe not all the voices in my head but def most of them. Lol On to your next vid

Check out Sheffler's Geode mine, just west of Vickers. Much better geodes and easier digging. Dig the 2 ft layer just above the hard grey shale. Loaded with geodes up to 10 inches across. Baseball sized is the most common.

I found a geode in Indiana , it was about 3 foot across, and I took a hammer, and broke it up,I didn't know at the time, it was worth a lot of money, lol

FYI- Rule of thumb, more then 1 lbs per inch of diameter and they are solid. So if a 4" Geode weighs 2 lbs it is 1/2 solid.

In Utah our solid geodes are just as awesome if not better sometimes due to the blue lace agate inside....

Eye protection should always be a priority. You use your eyes every second of the day. Y'all don't seem to be prospecting every second of the day. You two look happy living and living life together, preventative maintenance. 🇺🇸🙏❤♻️🌎☮💯

This looks like fun! I used to live in that area and there area tons of geodes in the Keokuk/ Hamilton area. I used to look at them during disk golf.

This is probably the closest pay to dig place from where i live and would be a nice weekend for me. I have two questions. How far a walk is it from where you park to where you dig? Do you think any of those geodes centers react to a UV light?
