I'm not particularly a Joe and Dianne fanboy, like so many on here. Charles and Karen are my favourites. And I was a bit critical of this routine on the night. Having watched this video though, I do have a new appreciation for how complicated and difficult the routine was and how well you both did, given that. Extremely difficult to perform as a one off performance, under the pressure of the lights, audience and cameras. You did superbly.

A type of dance that in a strictly concept must be very hard to execute, and do a good performance. I believe that chemistry here is a major impact on how they do. Seen other couples try and dont do very good, but this was beyond my expectations. Also they seem to be growing closer and closer, wich is very sweet to watch. Hope they win, and ill be suprised if they dont!

People don't get how hard this dance was, like I said, every move was risky. One ball drop and you're done for. It had to be more than perfect, and yet some people bashed this dance so hard. Like "This deserved an 8 at best." "Joe danced like a old dad." And my fave was a response to my comment about how I wouldn't be able to do those ball tricks: "I'm 66 and I could do them. Perhaps not as gracefully, but still." Damn old dads go back to scratching your bellies.
