I wish that, instead of lasting a random amount of time, Baldi actually had to go to the principal's office to get a new ruler.

For me, the event where Baldi's ruler breaks is more harmful than anything. While he can't end your run, you also cannot tell where he is if you are a far distance away from him. So when it may seem like you're doing well, Baldi could be right around the corner and you don't even know it, having the chance to ruin the run if you don't have anything useful.

The rotating figures are the reference to Windows 3D Maze, where if you step on them, you would change orientation.

Just a little thing I wanted to add for the mystery rooom event. If a Mystery Room is on a floor, then there is a chance that you can walk past it and the door to the Mystery Room will get added to your Quick Map/Advanced Map while the door it's self isn't phisically there yet. This can be really helpfull if you have the Portal Poster as you can place it on the wall of the Mystery Room and get whatever is inside it before the Mystery Room Event even happens.

Hi TomRBel! Just wanna remind that flood also open all the doors except for Swinging ones! This is handy because as long as you don't go through Swinging Doors you can collect as much notebooks as you want.

Thanks for doing this explanation series! I’ve been recreating Baldi’s basics in scratch (cause the stuff that I usually do for game design is blocked at my school) and the videos have been really helpful!

My favourite events are the ones that help me. Like the fog event, where the characters can’t see me, the mystery room, where characters can’t go in, so I can hide there, and the party event, when Baldi stays in the principal’s office.

Great, now all we need is minigames like field trip and locations! It's not that important, but needed to complete your ultimate guide

But when i get an pc and access to the game, I will use your videos as a reference to be able to guide me in the game soon, your videos are really well explained and you make very good and quality videos!

Very nice video, they are really useful because Baldi's Basic isn't really a game that explains a lot of what's happening^^ If you still want to do this type of video, you could make one about all the rooms in Baldi's Basics, though I don't know if there would be enough to talk about (classrooms, principal rooms, baldi's office, closet, library, cafeteria, garden, outside with the bus, mystery room, detention room, maybe secret rooms like basement and crying baldi and null office?) You forgot one thing about the flood event When it occurs, it opens all the classroom/faculty doors as well, making you able to do less noise

Random Events are my favourite mechanic in Baldi’s Basics, it always throws something so game breaking ONLY for a couple of seconds!

the flood is a great time to get notebooks nearly risk free if baldi doesn't see you, as it gradually opens every door after a short time, and they stay open until the event ends

Those “orbs” that show up on the gravity chaos event look almost identical to the orbs in the Windows 95/98 3D maze screensaver. They work in the same way too.

To get back to the mystery room after ended, you can go back using a Portal Poster or something. (if appeared in the next to principal's office and you can see it.)

I was able to get into the mystery room with the flood event once when a whirlpool teleported me into it. That was quite a surprise. But I guess there are a few ways to get into it without the mystery event like the teleporter, portal poster or First Prize breaking through a window into it (if there is one).

Once, during the flood event i got taken to the mystery room even though there was no door and the event wasn't on, so I was just chillin' until i decided to leave

Something you didn't mention is that during the flood event all doors are open meaning if you lost Baldi you can go into rooms without attracting Baldi from the door noise

The event where Baldi breaks his ruler, on paper sounds desirable, but it's usually the worst one you could get, sure you can't get a game over, but the cons outweigh the pros; Baldi's entirely silent the whole time, he can regain his ruler at any given moment having you be in constant fear, the fact he can still get the apple from you makes things worse. The only times where this is good is when you're cornered or during the mad dash to the exit.

Party: Baldi does go around the principals office if he lost the player. Fog: Well uhh... It's... Fog? Flood: Characters can go in whirl pools except The Test, This Is A Bully and Chalkles. Mystery Room: You can hide in there he will check in there, but none of the other characters check in there. Gravity Chaos: If you just happened to be on a side and Baldi on another he will actually run from you and this doesn't happen with other characters except 1st Prize I think. Broken Ruler: It's as the name says, Baldi has a broken Ruler for a while so he can't slap you. Test Procedure: All of those metal doors you see will close slowly when the counting finishes.
