So adventurous. No fear. In Finnish we would say she has Sisu. “Sisu is a Finnish concept described as stoic determination, tenacity of purpose, grit, bravery, resilience, and hardiness and is held by Finns themselves to express their national character. It is generally considered not to have a literal equivalent in English.” She is just adorable.

I love love love how you let her problem solve while also coaching her through things. Like, with the “hole” you told her it would be hard to get out if she got too close, but you didn’t just pull her out. You let her figure out how to get out of there herself. I know this is only a snapshot of your life, but you are raising such resilient kids!

🙌 That’s conscious. Even if she went in the hole and got wet and muddy, I would have let her. I’d be there to pull her out but she learns more by experiencing those mishaps and minor errors in judgment then she does if I decide for her!

10:14 she used to be scared crossing that bridge before. But now, just a piece of cake. 👌🏻 And saving skittles for another chair is so wise of her. And sharing it with her daddy is just sweet, not one but two! Great parenting right there! 💕💕

Adia is my hero/spirit animal! i'm a 52 yo woman who wants to snowboard for the 1st time next year. I need her next to me, saying "let's go THIS way....you'll be ok!....whoooooooo!"

❤️ she’s a total BOSS! I love the sounds she’s making…maybe if some of us older people approached our skiing with such fun-loving joy, we’d have a lot less fear of falling and getting hurt (totally speaking for myself here!). What a wee joy she is!!! ❤️

I love hearing her singing and talking to herself! In one video, she sings, "sooo fast..but I'm not scared...oops! I'm a little scared..but I'm okay. I got this! Wheee!" I've decided my internal monologue needs to sound more like hers!! :-)

She's doing boxes by herself; crossed the wood slat bridge on her own; goes off the beaten path in the woods; and is there the slightest beginning of a parallel carve in her skiing??? Bravo! Oh and I loved how she parked herself on the bench for a break.

My dad taught me how to ski and swim when I was a kiddo and these turned out fundamental for me. Now I can go any mountain and ocean with love and respect and know how to be safe and have fun. Seeing how your little kiddos progress and especially this tiny ball of cuteness melts my heart every time. She is so special, such a great attitude and spirits! And adorable to watch - I love love her talking!

DDoA, Adia is doing so well already with 3 compared when she was 2. Skiing backwards, managing much better jumps, doing much much better curves. She still skies with fun and thats important, she enjoys it so much. Good for you Aida. Cross my fingers you can do for long long time.
