I have been playing this song on repeat for hours... i was with someone on and off for 16yrs.. i cant tell u how many sorry’s over the years ive both heard and said... i cant fight the tears back anymore.. DAX this one hit home soo much. All of your music has helped me in one way or another but this one man... this one.. im so thankful u made this one and let us be privileged enough to share this with you.. its hard to just let someone like that go after so long.. now im told she has a kid and is getting married.. (after she told me she didnt want kids and wasn’t going to get married, that just destroyed me..) to anyone who see’s this just know that it does eventually get better.. there are days that are worse than others but just talk to someone who is willing to listen and you can get through it.. I have been listening to all his songs lately, and this one is hitting deep . I have been in a relationship for 8 years on and off .. which it hurts and is still having trouble letting go since my son is only 5. Sometimes, i feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel.. Honestly Dax is one of the most exciting, talented artists to come up for a long time.. Guys trust me, go listen to 'dear God' and 'joker', in fact there's so many good tracks. It feels like he's rapping straight from my thoughts, with 'dear god' especially 😩🙏. To connect with so many people on such a deep level is a rare and special talent. Think this was more about getting trippie on a track to introduce Dax to a bigger audience, and they've made it more commercial to, again, appeal to a wider audience.
