This is what I think as a Newcastle fan, we earn 25 million off of our new sponsor, that’s nowhere near as high as Man City and Man Utd as examples, people these days try and use the smallest of things to drag down Newcastle, they do it every chance they get, yes we have Saudi owners with oil cash but that is nowhere near the main reason for our success, Chelsea have spent tons and look at where they’re at, Eddie Howe has transformed Newcastle into a super team with smart cheap signings and not overly expensive ones, people need to realise this.

The problem Chelsea have is that they HAVE to sell players quick before they can spend to not fall foul of FFP. But teams know this, and they’ll wait right up until that deadline to get cut price deals for Chelsea players. Not a great state of affairs.

People saying Chelsea are screwed don’t understand ffp and how accounting works, Ichelsea have lots of players they can sell for good fees. They could easily raise 200-400m and that would straight on this years accounts. That’s massive especially when u factor in wage savings that effect ffp. Signings are spread over the contract length. United are in a much worse position really. They have flops on huge salaries no one wants to pay and a billion pound debt, 300m in outstanding fees.

Well according to Fabrizio CFC didnt wanted to meet the PSG wage offer for ugarte. And that was in line with Poch. The new wage structure at CFC wouldnt allow such high wages for a new player like ugarte. And thus they let the transfer slip.

The problem isn’t the fact that Nufc went from 6m to 25m the only reason it was so low was cos Ashley was the worst premier league club owner in history and filled his pockets rather than fulfilling nufc potential. So we’re bang on now

Mark it’s been passed by the PL £25m shouldn’t be a problem for any fan base even if it was £40m it still shouldn’t be a problem when you consider the points you made. If etihad airways pay £70 million what is the problem for PL or anyone else, if the sponsor feels they can benefit from the deal. In this case if PL is suspecting city about this deal they have bring in proof and prove city did something wrong. You cannot prove of someone doing wrong with just your assumptions in the court. Arguing man city cannot have better deal than man united or Liverpool is simply nonsense and ridiculous. This is why most people want city to break the monopoly United think they have. They will be very careful in the transfer market and build along the Ashworth youth model but will not be forced to sell as Brighton need too. The wealth of PIF is irrelevant as they have to build within the adopted FFP rules after the other top six clubs spend idiotic prices for players rather than coach top level youth. Newcastle will develop via lots more sponsorships but as I sad, remain well within the FFP which is good for the Premier League generally.
