The best show of respect for their talents was that you could hear a pin drop while they were performing. Most knew what they were in for and wanted to capture it all. Once they were done you could hear the crowd erupt with applause.

Don Williams 1973 version was the first version of this song that I ever heard, amazing version because Chris did an amazing version of Don's version. Waylon Jennings recorded it as well in 1974.

Beauty and the beast, angel and cowboy, even though I think he's adorable. But he's got a raspy bluesy voice that can be smooth and powerful and she has a clear mountain stream voice.

Yeah man , like a bunch of others said , you want to hear “ you are my sunshine” either live or off the southern family album . Also a fun fact , if you ever notice with the band Chris stands just slightly off center , not facing straight. It’s because he battles stage fright and he is always turned just enough to be facing her for comfort .

I wouldn't argue with your statement about him being your favorite male vocalist, because he's my favorite singer, male or female. Something about the inflections he uses, the holds, runs, tones, passion, the softness and pure emotion contrasted with the power of his raspiness, that I connect with on a visceral level. He has the ability to make my surroundings disappear if that makes any sense.

I absolutely love this one. Chris and Morgane have an amazing blend, don’t they? Their voices perfectly compliment each other. Fun fact, they met when they were both working as songwriters in a Nashville studio. They wound up working late one night at the office and instead of working they mostly just made out all night. 😂 She really encouraged him to pursue a career as a performer. He’s got a back-catalogue of thousands of songs he’s written. He says his favorite song to perform is “You Are My Sunshine,” because he can just play guitar and harmonize and let Morgane have the spotlight. I don’t think I’ve ever seen two people more in love.
