The 80's Mike Tyson (trained by Kevin Rooney) would have knocked out the 90's Mike Tyson (trained by those knuckleheads who couldn't even deal with swelling over his eye in the Buster Douglas fight.) The 80's Tyson beats everyone including Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield and anyone else.

i think he would have beaten holyfield, not so sure the same with lennox, at least at points after 12 rounds. after all, at that point a less skilled, slow amd with no head movement tyson lasted 8 round. this 88 mike could dodge and slip many hard lewis' punches, reporting less damages.

Mike Tyson defeated himself. He had the best trainers, the best regimen, he had a great training camp. He blew it with his SXXT behavior.

The short left hook that ended it was an excellent shot but Tubbs was already wobbling, Tyson was thowing vicious shots & Tubbs was in desperate trouble before the last punch.

Tyson in his prime was just on different level. Bowe who's a big puncher and 6'5, only narrowly beat Tubbs on points. 4:57 , must be feels like getting his with baseball bat.

No. That punch ruptured Tubbs' eardrum, which makes you lose your equilibrium. If you look and see Tubbs laying in the canvas, you see his trainer put a towel over his ear and the blood on the canvas.

Cocaine will impair an athlete's performance. The heart will be going 50× harder than normal, respiration is awful, and focus is gone. He would have done better without it.

Actually I disagree with Sugar Ray. It wasn't a short left at all. It was a sweeping long hook. Tubbs just didn't see it coming.

Yea most definitely, height is an advantage for the opponent, but Mike’s speed and power are better advantages

It's not all about height. I'd rather have reach than height. But Tyson was a small, fast, explosive fighter... most heavy weights have power and usually not more. Tubbs had hand speed, good body/head movement, spatial awareness, footwork, fast reflexes, and I am probably forgetting some others.

Gus did dye. But unfortunately don king took away his trainer and his team. From then he became a hard hitting almost ordinary fighter. Occasionally we saw some of the old Tyson. So every fighter should pay him for being out of shape.
