Nice affordable house .Housing is less expensive in USA than canada .It will cost more than 1.3- 1.5 million in Canada

Canada dollar value is higher than US so naturally prices will be a bit higher. Even in the US, some lots of areas in some states have houses that don't go for any less than a million.

@@bestofdbest934 canadian dollar value is lower than USA and even higher prices areas in USA won't cross 2million US dollars for a normal 3bed house and where as in canada i would say 1.3-2million for average 3 bed room house and high end houses will cost 3million plus.canadian 1.3million=1+million USA

@@sahajagundala4857 Fair point, I stand corrected. Canadian dollar is indeed lower value. I can certainly say that in US, the houses in a lot of states exceed $1mil mark depending on area (especially states that have a relatively higher cost of living). Can't say the same for the homes in Canada because average house rates in Canadain dollars are about 100k more expensive comparatively, so you can expect to see higher prices.

Old house in good school district may fare better if you prefer longtime stay in the same town vs New house may give more flexibility to do addons (in terms of decorations and related options) of your choice. Resale value may also be better (even if not too good) if the newer community is going to develop in future. Newer house may have less of maintenance overhead costs as new house may have builder provided warranties to cover for some considerable amount of time.
