I feel like if any movie character is allowed to have gorilla arms, it’s Bonecrusher.

Funny thing about this figure, no one in my family remembers buying this figure so I assume I got it for free

One thing I really like about this toy is how most, if not all of the panels are real. I like it when the transformation is well engineered and the toy does look like a robot in disguise rather than a plastic rendition of some movie characters.

The loose butterfly was an issue on the original too so no worries. Also, the claw isn't supposed to look like that in robot mode lol. There's a proper way to do it. You bring it down against the back, hinge up the rest of the claw at the piece with the mushroom peg, then split it down and rotate the blades foward.

Fun Fact: his head is on a ball joint, is if you’re careful enough, you can rip off his HEAD, not his face, his head. P.S. it’s better if you just keep the claw connected while it’s still in robot mode.

So if Hasbro are willing to do this, why can't they remake redecos (like Deep Desert Brawl or others) into the toyline. They can do it, but choose not to...

This is definitely a good toy and one that I would recommend. However the two main faults you mentioned are a bummer for sure (head movement and gorilla arms). The QC seems to have been much better on the original though, as mine is still solid as hell several years later and doesn't have any of the looseness or tabbing issues you mentioned.

Hoping they do a Nest repaint for Studio Series Ironhide and Studio Series Starscream. Those will be awesome to see because Studio Series Ironhide is the most rarest and difficult figures to track down and the aftermarket prices are nuts. And the reason why I want to Starscream in a Nest Repaint because well they can't get his colouring right for both version of Studio Series Starscream and his accesories are not complete. So by seeing him in a gunmetal drak grey repaint with his alien tatoos and include all 3 of his weapons in the Buzzworth Bumblebee Nest Line, we might see the best Studio Series Starscream figure ever since Leader Class Starscream from Hunt Of The Decepticons line.

Am I the only one that thinks that part of the soundtrack in this sounds a bit like the main theme from The Terminator? I noticed that ever since I saw the scene of Prime bodying Bonecrusher in the movie.

I like him gray better for some reason. I want all the N.E.S.T figures and more a N.E.S.T Jazz or the Wreckers, jet shatter, TLK drift (I just want that figure)

My copy had a misassembled elbow. Had to drive the pin out and found it the part has 2 pin holes and they pinned the wrong one. Fixed him since then and I really like him

Bonecrusher was one of my all-time favorite movie transformers. I had the original deluxe class from 2007. I love those toys. The OG movie toys were so durable. That Bonecrusher saw so much play, so many battles. And I'm happy to say that he's still (somehow) in one piece. Having been around and starting my journey as a Transformers fan at that time, I can honestly tell you, sizes have gone down, quality has gone down, durability has gone down. The only thing that HASN'T gone down is the price. But I will give this toy credit. Despite the repaint, it is so nostalgic to me. The transformation to alt-mode is almost 100% the same as the old toy, and even has the EXACT same issue of the unpegging fork. I will say this though, I'm pretty sure THIS Bonecrusher is a Voyager, and is thus 30-35$. The OLD Bonecrusher was about the same size, was a deluxe class, and was still only 10$. Welcome to the new world. When will our Transformers go back to '07 days.

Personally I love this figure as it’s now kinda hard to get the original.

Amazing review, you might have sold me on this guy ! I recently got the Nest Ratchet, the mold is still mediocre but mine had some solid QC, everything fells good and he looks good once you mod the backpack, and the deco is so good, if you find it for a decent price I think you should give it a chance.

I do like this figure, but the fact that that 1 wheel in alt mode is permanently up, breaking the consistency, drives my ocd mad. Yes I know it's accurate, but I'm not the biggest fan of it

I have this figure and love him I love his arms/hands and his overall design is just fabulous I adore the ‘code’ (all hail megatron)

Bonecrusher is my favorite Decepticon from the 07 movie. He's badly proportioned, he's stupid looking, he's WIDE, and I love that for some reason

I got the buzzworthy jet wing optimus prime and the front grill clip snapped so now the grill doesn’t transform properly and there’s a big gap so just a word of warning your mileage may vary

I got the original as one of my first SS figures and, it's pretty goooood. It's one of my few older SS figures that doesn't have tons of paint chipping

I own the original studio series Bonecrusher. What disappoints me is he's considered a Voyager... Yet is the same size as the original deluxe Bonecrusher from years prior, & is smaller than Voyager Optimus... & surprisingly... Shorter than the studio series Crowbar figure-

The real world thing is actually massive. The toy should’ve been only slightly bigger but not by much honestly. It might’ve looked better if OP was slightly smaller.

Great review citing the good and bad. Hard not to be excited about a new Bonecrusher toy, as the movie design is epic, and the 2007 one though pretty great was very undersized. Never saw this on the shelves, but never minded as this very much as Voyager Brawl for me aren't huge improvements over the 2007 deluxe figures and feel less movie accurate than these. Too much engineering going on is toys that should have been Leader class for Studio series which result in okay, but gapped alt modes, and compromised flimsy bot modes.

This is a great figure! Unrelated but I scored a deal on SS-16 Ratchet (I like the color more than on the TF 1/2 one).

I got it strongly because of the dark black coloring on Nest Bonecrusher's face where his eyes and mouth are, I did not like the silver coloring on his face in the regular colored SS Bonecrusher figure because I prefer the more black coloring on his face with his regular tan body colors (even tho in reality it is just the sun shading during the movie scene)

Just a redeco so they could put it back out for more revenue/ people couldn't get

When you think about it, and i mean REALLY think about it, a few things about this toy make me ask questions. 1: why would NEST need a military issue mine clearance vehicle? 2: Nest has tech that allows them to detect cybertronian energy signatures so its like "wait, all the autobots are gone......but there's still an energon reading...."
