Isn't it just a special event, not changed so much in 500 years or more & Thaxted is a seriously interesting place, did you know that Chelmsford & Thaxted were the finalists to get the Cathedral of Essex, Thaxted lost out due to its location but I think it's preserved it

As a resident of Thaxted, whenever I see these wonderful dancers from all around the country come here and congregate, for a few minutes all the world's problems evaporate and England lives. ❤

Thankyou, it was most enjoyable, I really enjoy chatting & learning, a real mixing pot of Morris from Yorkshire to Londinium. Im definitely getting on as I love Ale, & head for the Ale pumps in a pub 😂, & im taking to this type of music, reminded me of 'Rose of Alabama' The Musicians when you watch them alter the tempo & the dancers react very impressive, & the Horse yes fascinated me how he navigated steps. Down my way they have a Badger. Old Pagan England which so fascinated Julius Ceasar, the Saxons the Vikings the Norman's, its all entwined, but we dont know exactly how. I love the way Thaxteds Church is so used for the community events such as this, for this ancient market town still is a special place in Essex
