I am still using it for online classes It has intel T5670 1.80ghz And I upgrade it to 3gb (it supports upto 4 ram) but It stucks in chrome(at 100% cpu usage) sometimes and the cpu is worst more than its performance.

The best thing to make a hard drive faster is to reduce the hard disk space in the partition while installing. My Travelmate 6292 has a 1.80GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 and 2GB of ram.
