With the newest Gran Turismo 7 update, a bunch of cars got access to the Bugatti Chiron engine. Upgraded giving cars over 1,850hp so I HAD to build something rear wheel drive... enter the C6 Corvette! Is this the fastest car in Gran Turismo 7?

if you get rid of the wing you will have less aerodynamic drag or downforce and have a better top speed meaning that yes you can probably reach 350 with that thing be warned tho stabilty is not exactly a strongpoint xD

I have a top speed build with max power, no wide body, wingless, diffuser, and lowest suspension, and I still only reach 334 MPH without NOS (354 MPH with). Is there something I’m doing wrong?

At this point, Polyphony is adding these engine swaps for giggles and it’s awesome. Bugatti Chiron engine swaps in multiple vehicles, Ford Maverick V8 in a Porsche Cayman GT4, Escudo engine in the Mitsubishi Evo and GTO, 787B rotary in a Mazda 3, Ford GT V8 engine in a Ford Focus, Rotary engine in a Suzuki Cappuccino, and others as well. Can’t wait for the next update to see what kind of surprises PD has for engine swaps. Also I suggest checking out the Dodge Challenger Demon and Mercedes 190E.

Of all of those things I think the 787B rotary in the Mazda 3 is the most ridiculous. Like you couldn't get one, and if you could, why would you put it in a Mazda 3? It's like using a historical samurai sword to open your junk mail.

Theo's Corvette went 340 MPH. The speed of sound is around 767 MPH. Had he gone around only 43 MPH quicker, he would've gone at half the speed of sound. That's crazy!

@@aksGJOANUIFIFJiufjJU21 if you’re referring to the km/h number (407 km/h), the speed of sound is a different number, at approx. 1,234 km/h. The (base) Veyron is only capable of 253 MPH iirc.

Yeah lets just swap an engine out a 3 to 5 million dollar car , the only hope you have if sombody crashes one and the engine doesnt get damaged but its totaled otherwise then you could buy it and basicly do whatever you want with it

It's impossible. The amount of plumbing just to get the engine in there like the radiator and intercoolers, the engine would be on top of the car, not to mention finding a transmission that'd withstand 1800hp and fitting in a C6 or a Gtr.

@@RealTeee Unfortunately, there’s no anti-lag for the Chiron engine in GT7. That said, the bonkers level of power even before the turbos properly spool up should make anti-lag more of a moot point.

Lower the rear suspension and raise the front then take all camber and toe off from the suspension and reduce all downforce then stretch the gears a little more

the Bugattis are heavy for two things the w16 engine and the interior filled with luxury materials from my point of view just imagine a Chiron with a sportier interior all in carbon and alcantara it should weigh less than 1600kg or even 1500kg

I had this really weird couple of days in GT7. I kept getting ultra high RPM turbos and level 5 weight reduction parts for the Chiron...2 turbos. So I say whatever, I'm supposed to get a Chiron, and then I install both those parts, and half an hour later realize that a Chiron is the ideal car for the Special Route X Clubman race. But oops, if you make it too light, the PP is way too high, and the only way to bring it down is to drop 400 HP, and then it doesn't win anymore because top speed is about power and drag, weight is irrelevant. So I'm pissed that I just messed up a $3 mil car that was perfect for this one race, and the next day I log in to see what the body replacement cost is...$3.6 mil, oops. But it's Christmas week so I get a 5 star engine ticket and it's...a Chiron engine. Um, OK, I guess that'll do it. I put it in the GT-R because that just seems ridiculous and at least it has 4wd. I go from getting drafted in the nerfed Chiron to winning by 37 seconds, over 300 mph the whole way.

My Chiron-swapped Corvette ZR1 (no widebody, diffuser, wingless) with all engine + weight upgrades maintains around 541 km/h (336 MPH) without any tailwind or decline helping it. Not saying that isn’t impressive at all, I’m saying that perhaps the Corvette is the popular Chiron swap for a reason.

It’s not too terrible; just grind the credit heavy races (i.e. Le Mans WTC700), buy some expensive cars (especially the latter), and you’ll be up to collector level 50 in no time flat.

@@K3b1bisLtu presumably km/h. I’ve done the same with a Corvette ZR1 with the Chiron swap, and I’ve managed something like 270 MPH (435 km/h) before the turn, and that was with a high downforce build that is somehow still capable of 300+ MPH (483+ km/h) on the chicane-less Mulsanne Straight.

if you add the torque controller mod to the GTR, and set the ratio to 5:95, it essentially turns it into a rwd GTR

Nahh you could regulate airflow with a aerodynamic racingfloor mounted under the car and make it stick but also go fast ... the thing thats stopping people in real life from going this fast in production cars is actually the tires on the best and strongest tires in the world you have about 10 15 min on full speed before they wear out mind you a set of those tires cost 42.000 dollars
