This week's show is stuffed full of airgunning action from the UK and from the USA. From big budget ratting to red squirrel rangers, we are looking at all things air powered.
Jerry Moss is one of Cumbria's dedicated red squirrel rangers. We follow him and his Daystates through the forests in pursuit of the invasive grey.
Peter Zamit from the Airgun Centre is showing us the best rifles on offer for a youngster and Airgunner and Air Gun World's Phill Price is talking us through some springer safety.
Throw in Jim Shockey from the Shot Show in Las Vegas and we've got something for everyone.

I live in Texas and have a large Pecan tree in my back yard.. In the autumn I get many red squirrels come raiding my tree...

Really enjoying the program !! Really like the idea of sending people out with an old simple air gun no fuss and fancy,but then again on the other hand you can't turn your nose up at a 10k ratting set up haha love it,keep it coming guys

Great to watch Fieldsports, Thank you, Excellent work on the Greys from Jerry and co, Keep at them Fella's ;) Nice work on the Rat Darren :) wish i had some NV kit like your's now that i've just got permission from my Landowners to shoot on their property at night, Rats, lot's of bunnies and counted 12 foxes Saturday (Shot 2 last week) , Really hard to get good numbers with a lamp, hey-oh Santa might bring some this year lol, Keep up the excellent Work Gents! Thank you ;)

Interesting, in the US (at least in Ohio) the red squirrel are considered vermin and the greys are a game animal! Our reds will drive out the fox squirrels and are notorious for damaging buildings and vehicles. We call them the fuzzy tailed rat. They are very quick and hard to get a shot at.

Great show as always Roy, your not the only one that cant shot squirrels as James proved, better luck next time. Would be nice to see decoy patterns in the show, how to lay them out, wind direction,shape,how many and tips on shooting them with an Air Rifle. ATB. Monty.

I need to move to England, and that's from a Glaswegian. Its cause they do not allow us air rifles, yet the Red is dying here too. So once i get to Bolton, I know an arms store, and i'll kit myself out, and look for farmers and barns i can gain entry too by permission...Paul Glancy

this is the 1st of these i have watched and they are very good well done to phil price for pointing out somthing we have to remind folk about and thats the hold your springer while loading a friend of mine lost the end of his finger because a bear trap failed..my only critiscism would be on 2 different occasions it showed proffesional people cock a springer putting no ammo in for demonstration then the film cut away newbies looking in will think its ok to cock and fire a springer with no ammo and its ok coz so and so did it. one item i would ask you to cover and we get this a lot at the club, folk who are new to scopes not airguns scopes they have seen the movies and you put the crossair on anything you aim at and you can hit it, i think a show like this covering hold over under etc would go a long way to help cheers :)

Hi Fieldsports! I was wondering one thing. I live in Sweden, as you may be able to see by my name, and in Sweden we have very...well, very silly laws about airguns. Airguns are pretty much only to be used in "Protective pest control" which means that only if it exists a need of taking down animals we are allowed to used airguns, otherwise we have to use a .22 LR or bigger, even for taking down Sparrows etc. Silly, I know, but the law is the law so not much you can do about it. But then I thought, why not fly over to the UK for a hunting vacation? So I was wondering, how are the possibilities in the UK for coming over, staying at a hotel or something, and then borrow an airgun somehow and follow a person out for airgun hunting? I just want to try it out some time, rabbit hunting, dove and pigeon hunting etc, with an air-rifle because we can't here in Sweden.
