Fierce Diety is easily my most-used and favorite armor in TOTK. I had a habit early on of jumping on all the dragons and farming parts whenever I saw them so doing the fairy upgrades was easy peezy and from then on out, when combined with silver/white lynel upgraded weapons … I made light work of everything even Gleeoks. Still working on finishing upgrades to the Barbarian Set but I’ve beat the story mode now and have less desire to do so.

The glide armor and miner armor are great for exploring the new regions. And I like how the groggy armor helps you climb slick surfaces

I like using a combination of articles: the Diamond Circlet for Attack Up, and the Champion's Leathers and Soldier's Greaves for high defense. Especially when fully upgraded. As for specialized sets, my favorite is the Glide Armor set. Two words: *Impact Proof.* You know what that means. Death from above jump attacks with no fear of fall damage.

But upgrade the champion’s leathers amber earring (or soldier’s helm) & soldier’s greaves to max it will give you 88 defense more than wild set upgraded to max

I’m an old gamer. I got the first Nintendo when I was a kid that I saved up the money for doing choirs. But before I got it, my neighbor had it and the very first game I played was the Legend of Zelda. When I got my own I would play it like a mad man. I could beat the entire game in 1 day without dying once. I’ve been hooked ever since and it has been my favorite game series. So much so that even to this day when you name a game character, I name them Link lol. I’ve been playing Tears (on my son’s switch which I hijacked) for a while and I’m all over the place. I got a couple of pieces of different armor sets and only recently got the full miner set which is my only completed set. I almost didn’t watch this vid because I was afraid about telling me locations. Glad it just glosses over them. I’m enjoying the exploration with zero guides about anything or learning/using exploits. What an amazing game.

I can't believe you didn't mention either the radiant or evil spirit sets. They are literally the highest damaging sets in the game when using the correct weapon fusions😓

Considering that a lot of the armor sets from the previous game are found in Misko’s stash means that misko probably stole from link to get some of them, especially the shrine exclusive ones (climbing armor, barbarian armor, etc.)

The miner set is so helpful for getting the underground unlocked

The Zonaite Armor looks like Aztec Armor. I absolutely love it!

In actual game play, I use the Hyrule set the most. It is easy to obtain and cheap to upgrade and once fully upgraded it offers a Defense of 60 which makes you borderline immune to most attacks. Other set can do that and more as well, but at much higher costs. Thus the fully upgraded Hyrule set is what is worn by most players 90% on the playtime.

Usefulness for Climbing Set has severely decreased. Going up is extremely easier, despite the loss of Revali's Gale. The abundance of Zonai tech, not to mention Ascend makes verticality a trifle

The Glide Armor Mask look so much like the Hawkeye item from Twilight Princess!

Heros Aspect armor w/ defense of 84 when fully upgraded serves as an excellent armor set. Improves master sword beam range too!

Need a hot swap set ability / combine set in inventory. Better yet how about a fuse two armors together? Climbing/Froggy, Gliding/Zonai, Evil/Deity would be all I need. Great vid.

The mystic armour kinda sucks, not sure why it's on this list considering the other options in this game. Sure, you don't take damage until you are out of rupees, but that's exactly the problem in a game where even the great fairies are now fleecing you for all you've got. Not to mention that once you have upgraded a set to full defence (which is hard to do if you are constantly sacrificing rupees), damage will be largely a non-issue anyway. We could make a case for the early game, when Link has too few hearts to tank hits from stronger enemies, but then I would argue that early game doesn't get you a ton of rupees either. If a normal Lynel can already hit you for 300 rupees a hit, you will need a ton of them for the armour to be useful. Comparatively, the Radiant armour is much, MUCH better, at least when it gets its set bonus after two upgrades. 80% attack upgrade when using bone weapons, that can be stacked with a normal strength max strength boost for an extra 50% on top (mighty bananas are still easy to find), leading to a total attack of 270% when using bone weapons. Considering that fusing has made it so bones weapons are now much more viable (Molduga jaws are awesome), the bone proficiency set bonus is a must anytime you need pure damage output. Radiant armour is also much easier to find (even the quest required to drop the price to reasonable levels is easy to do), even if the real utility comes after you upgrade it twice. The mystic armour quickly disappeared into the back of the closet. The radiant armour on the other hand is my goto weapon when I wanna wreck some Lynels.

Can say I’m a little disappointed that you didn’t have aspect of the hero on here the armor for clearing every shrine it’s the set I have used ever since I got it with an armor value of 84 when fully upgraded

I wish we can add armor shards to the armor sets just like the armored bokoblins and lynels

I personally live the soldiers set, it doesn’t have any special stats, but it does yield a strong defense and looks really good.

Obviously tons of sets have specifc uses, but my favorite all around is the Zonai set. Best non-champions tunic defense, unique and incredibly useful armor effect and set effect, and it looks so good. If i'm not using the box art or green tunic look in cutscenes, im wearing this with no helmet

I prefer to mix and match with the Cap of the Wild, because it "just feels so right." If I need to switch it out, however, with the exception of the Dark Hood, I grudgingly will.

That Froggy Set makes the Water Temple a breeze. Without it? It’s a real pain in the ass! Also very handy in tons of caves and wells!

It's so insane how many good things that weren't carried over for BOTW have solutions that are even better. For example I thought not having rivali's gale would be horrible. Then you figure out things like rocket shield and spring shield... Soso good.

Anciant Hero's Aspect. While hard to get since it requires completing every shrine in the game, it's just one full body armor piece that turns link into a Zonai. Two upgrades adds power to the Master Sword's beam attack, and fully upgraded it offers the highest armor defence in the game at 84.

I love the phantom armor since it i crease my attacks while giving me a pretty good protection.

Hay, why wasn't the Ancient Hero's Aspect mask/armor in the video, it has over 84 for defence and changes Links looks into a wolf like Link, very cool looking.

I only want to wear the hero of time as it's from the best Zelda.

I call Froggy Armor "Froppy Armor"...MHA got me. XD My favorite so far is the Fierce Deity set.

My favorite has been the Fierce Deity Armor Set it makes attacking enemies much easier and combined with a Knight's Broadsword fused with a White Maned Lynel Saber Horn to make a White Maned Lynel Reaper Lynels are a piece of cake

The miner set is my FAVORITE I was super skeptical about the depths only went down there when I needed throwing down all the bright blooms I have every so steps but now Im practically living down there found half the light roots I’m updating my energy cells expeditiously I love it

They put in an almost troubling amount of activity for 3x The breath of the wilds map size, Purah pads Uses are Incredulous that it hasent caused ANY Technical problems (Needing to Reset the Game) Included ALMOST ALL Amibo Rewards for the First game And Not a Hint of Technical trouble *Aside from im sure that others have Noticed some of the Shrines are Half cooked- *walking Wayward rails is some Technicaly unsound use- But boy does that throw the possibility's

you did not put the depths set higher THAN BARBARIAN, I MEAN CMON, barbarian gives a broken attack up with you can stack with food, also you can get the depths set buff by eating a dark clump dish. whever made this was smokin crack.
