Anyone else think that Hulk was really water down in avengers mostly in endgame ? I really wanted to see the hulk smash something mostly Thanos but anything would have great

#7 The second Thing vs. Hulk fight (the first taking place in FF #12 if memory serves me) is arguably one of the most important stories, as well as fights early on in the fledgling Marvel Universe. The “pecking order” if you will was beginning to become fleshed out, as to who the “big man on campus” was to be. Marvel history will tell you that everybody wanted to know which monster was the mightiest: the orange? Or the green? The story also defined the true meaning of what a hero was to be in the Marvel Comics Universe. It was such a compelling story. Ben Grimm finally, begrudgingly, come to the realization that the Hulk is the strongest one there is. He realizes that he cannot defeat the Hulk on his own, but has to hold the line, as his teammates are down for the count, and the Avengers are unavailable. He is all there is standing between NYC and the Hulk. True heroism, by bitterly learning his limitations, coming to grips with it, and selflessly taking a beating until help arrives. The story is reprinted I the first volume of the Hulk Epic Collections. Corny dialogue aside for you youngsters, that is what being a hero is all about.

"Every one knows that the Hulk is the strongest there is." For someone who's cursed with knowledge, Thanos really missed the memo on this one.

For those who didn't read the issue where Zeus fought and _'defeated'_ the Hulk, one very important point to know is that Hulk didn't fight very enthusiastically. The reason being that he had already decided to sacrifice himself to save his family. It would be interesting to see how Zeus responds to a straight up match with World Breaker Hulk. My guess is that Hulk might earn his respect... the hard way.

To be fair, Zeus cheated by hitting the Hulk with a spell that turned off his healing factor. I think that was the deciding factor in that fight.

Hulk is still underrated. As crazy as it sounds he is the most powerful comic character of all time. He has no power limit as he has no limit to his anger. He is shown to lose but if you really think about his power he is insane

Good stuff. First Hulk vs Hercules fight was pretty epic as well. I also seem to remember the Hulk vs almost everyone in a different clash than the one in this vid. Iron Man in silver/red armor, Wonder Man, Namor, Hercules and quite a few others were part of it.

Issue #25 where he nearly killed Abomination was one of my favorite comic battles. I had that issue before my pit bull puppy managed to climb my shelf and destroy a few of my favorite comics. One of my favorite lines from that comic is when Hulk has finally had enough and says "Hulk hates ugly monster. Hates, Hates HATES!!"

"The Mighty Thor" 385, I believe, is the "greatest" Thor vs Hulk battle ever! Sure; there was the classic Lee/ Kirby Thor vs Hulk battle from "Journey Into Mystery" 112. But never as bad-ass/ beat-down as this one. Truly, this is the definitive Thor vs Hulk battle of all-time. Also; one more nod to your number#5 pic; "The Incredible Hulk vs Superman". Before this one, I do recall their first battle, which occurred in "Superman & Spider-Man" Treasury-Sized Edition. The battle was somewhat brief, but powerful. But it's the story, on your list here, that really brings it home. As with the previously mentioned, "Thor"#385 battle, this Hulk/ Supes match really fleshes it out much better, focusing better on both characters, and what their really all about. Just the fact that Superman meets up with the "smart" Hulk makes it even more interesting. Especially in their dialogue. For instance, the Hulk references how he, the Hulk, had once saved the earth from the Metal Master. This, of coarse, was a reference to "Hulk" issue 6 from his first series. Great detail. Anyway, great list and a good job. ('nuff said)

Great list, also some of my favorites is Hulk vs Gladiator, Hulk vs Onslaught and Hulk vs Hercules Unleashed... But you could pick any battle from World War Hulk so many epic battles lol. I also thought Hulk vs X-Men was pretty good and Hulk vs Ghost Rider WWHulk INS comics, but one not many people would think of the Hulk vs Caiera, just that moment when he said so that's the old strong? lol... Don't forget the Old strong rivals the power cosmic... Thanks to Nightmare trying to manipulate and possess the Hulk, The Mindless Hulk emerged as he was called in those issues, he lost his shit so hard he was literally unhurtable and unstoppable. The Avengers, Fantastic 4 and various other NYC based super heroes jumped in and were easily defeated. Dr. Strange ended up teleporting him to the Crossroads as a result.

The Hulk VS Everyone was an issue i had when i was a kid. That was an awesome fight. But i have to add another honorable mention. That was the Hulk vs The U/Foes. After Dr Strange puts him in to another Dimension. A crossroads dimansion where he could choose worlds and if he find a cool world to live in he could stay. In the Crossroads dimension the U-foes suddenly appear and he beat them by outsmarting them. He lured each member of the U-foes in to a dimension that neutrolises them. See...Hulk not only smashes but Hulk Thinks...lol

I've always really liked the first Hulk/Wolverine fight. First I just randomly bought the comic where the last page was the introduction of Wolverine. I made sure to get the next issue and it was glorious.

Don't forget Incredible Hulk #321 and #322. It's a fun fight. Doc Samson separates Banner from the Hulk and then big, green, and angry smacks Samson around for a while then the East and West Coast Avengers (with a little help from the Sub-Mariner) try to stop him.

There was a great fight during the Peter David run. Hulk vs Wolverine drawn by Todd McFarlane. Wolverine stabs in the Hulk heart. He has this internal monologue where he contemplates that the Hulk isnt so much as invulnerable but has a jacked up healing factor because he is basically walking cancer. That when he get up with gaping hole in his chest now closed.

When you talk about superheroes fighting each other please say "versus" instead of "verse." That is the actual correct word and I would really appreciate it because my nephew's make that mistake sometimes and they love watching your videos. 4:20 just say you didnt read the book. Mjolnir always returns to his hand. He didnt call it back, in fact, he threw it away again when it came back. Thor was trouncing Hulk with Mjolnir in hand also....he wasnt just getting the upper hand.
