Kroger added a Delivery only service in most of Florida. No retail locations. Great prices, great quality, reasonable delivery cost {no upcharges}. We are saving money each month this way

I would also say to know your price points! Most stores cycle through prices. If my meal plan has something with cream cheese in it, I may get charged 2.39 for that at one store, but it'll be 1.00 at another. Keep your eyes open! Just because it's a cheaper store over all, doesn't mean you're always getting a good deal!

I'm german and live in Munich. Over in Germany you always pack your groceries yourself in every supermarket and need 1€ - Coin to get a cart. It's funny that this is something to mention for you. I have a Winco 5 minutes from my house and that’s where I shop. My kids love helping bag the groceries. Keeps them busy when we check out.

Winco is awesome such low prices, sometimes half the price! Live in Oregon, save money where you can!

THIS is a super helpful list. Here in HI, my husband & i frequent Foodland sale sections,& Times(which are locally owned& run) whenever costco is sold out/ shipment barges run late.. since, all the chain stires like walmart& target& safeway get thier shipments from the same bardge, on tuesdays

Wish you included Grocery Outlet on this list they are absolutely fantastic! I prefer to shop there other than Aldi and many of the other places you recommended.

Trader Joe’s is expensive AF! It’s one step below Whole Foods and Sprouts. She didn’t even mention Grocery Outlet, when I’m on a budget I shop there and the 99 cent store.

Aldi is my favorite for produce, but you left out discount, bent and dent, or amish stores. Less expensive plus you are reducing food waste. With teen boys, food is a huge cost for our family!

We love our HEB! Have shopped there for over 35 years. While I can attest to the fact that their homemade-made-in-the-store tortillas are super yummy, I have never been given one for free to eat while in the store! lol

Market Basket isn't as nice or fancy as some of the other New England chains but the prices are better on many items day in and out, and the chain tends to attract decent employees. Not every person ringing up or bagging your groceries is stellar, but they are overall, more friendly and personable than other chains.

Adli is the store I always shop. When we go out of state if there's an Ollie's we go check out stuff there.

I was a Wholefoods exclusive shopper during the 1st. Year of the pandemic, free home delivery with Prime membership. BUT I have since started shopping at Walmart for the same organic products from organic free range eggs to grass fed beef and just about everything in between…. Savings are great! I got a Capital one card that I use exclusively with Walmart Pay at checkout for a total of 5% savings. I’ve cut my monthly grocery bill from $1200 to $700. I have not sacrificed quality or my food standards. Pats oneself on the back! That’s the one area I disagree with Dave, if your paying off your CC monthly why not save 5% for shopping at Walmart, who already has lower prices?

WinCo has a great bulk foods section.

Costco is number 1 on my list for meat, that is something that is always cheaper to get in bulk cause you can freeze (don't get the blade tenderized stuff tho) As far as HEB, they are actually the more expensive between Kroger, Walmart and HEB.

I am surprised Kroger was not mentioned. I think they have better deals than Walmart when it comes to produce. If you shop on Wednesdays. I also cannot get behind Aldis. Maybe I went to a bad one? I don't see the fuss.

I've never seen the produce as you described for Lidl. Their in-store bakery and European cookies and chocolate are worth mentioning too. I also like BJs Wholrsale Club for anything I can't get at Costco and their curbside pickup. I usually steer clear of Walmart and its affiliates because of their unethical business practices.

You forgot about COSTCO ; they offer ; car insurance eye glasses car buying ... etc and you missed SAVE-A-LOT

I’m surprise that Publix didn’t make the list lol 😂 . I love Publix but it is not the most budget friendly.

I shop at Walmart. I tried switching to ALDI. Spent the same for lower quality. Costco has a membership fee and you spend way more on buying anything because it’s all in bulk. So it may not fit your budget. Same with Sam’s club. I haven’t had luck saving money anywhere except Walmart and sticking to a grocery list

Where I live, Trader Joes is NOT so cheap at all and, coming out of covid, they just raised their prices. This one shouldn't be here. Expensive in my neighborhood.

I like the Save-a-Lot near me...it's kind of like a ghetto Aldi.

I shop at Meier and I find it less expensive than Walmart.
