I failed 3 times, i lost money to reviews that never helped but the major thing is that I've not lost hope

Passing the DAT is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself help like Mr Thomas

I had interest in working with him but I was discouraged by my friends out of ignorance 😔

I have a cousin who never studied much,we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than studies after writing DAT last month, she passed and I failed😣, I asked her how she did it, just found out she got her help from Mr Thomas ..

Sometimes hard work doesn’t pay you have to back it up with smartness🤓, I think your cousin understood that perfectly

nooo don't be discouraged. everyones app is viewed differently. For example, my friend had a 3.8 GPA but a 20AA and received an interview from columbia. A 3.5 GPA and a 20-21AA will get you several interviews, just be sure to apply to many schools

I heard school look for people who do extra curriculum activities too. Not just books lol

I got dental experience by first shadowing a dentist, then established a good relationship with the dentist and staff by coming in to shadow really regularly. They allowed me to begin helping out with sterilization and eventually I started working as a dental assistant for the same organization. Hope that answers your question. As for the DAT, I will definitely be making a video on this with a lot more info in the future. But the biggest help for me was Chad's Videos (aka CourSesaver)!

Dental experience can be anything dental related! Shadowing is definitely required, any other experience you have in a dental office (sterilizing, assisting, or other tasks)or even with dental insurance or research is great to have on your application too, these can be paid or volunteer.

Armando Nodal when you start dental school you will get your loan dispersement, it covers tuition and living expenses. All the dental students I know are living off of the loans during school. Hope that helps!

It depends on the program you end up going to, because they estimate what your living expenses will be. In my case, the loans covered tuition (approx $90K this year) and I got roughlyyyyyy $40K this year for living expenses. This is for rent, food, other living expenses and for some required school supplies (like loupes which are $2K, our iPads, scrubs, etc). Most people I talked to in my program got the same. KEEP IN MIND THIS HAS TO BE PAID BACK WITH INTEREST! And each year might vary, and this amount will vary program to program and person to person.

As long as you meet the minimum requirements for shadowing you should be good to apply! But I do think the more experience the better. Hope this helps!

My advice is to stay focused on what you can do right now. Right now just work on learning all that you can in middle school so that you are prepared for high school :) all you can do is put in the time and do your best, and if you do that you are sure to get in to a college. I find that when I think about all the “what ifs” in my future, I get really stressed out. Sometimes you just have to take things one day at a time. I hope that helps 🙏

99% of their accepted students are in-state residents. Texas is just like that.

Not to worry :) I know a lot of people who got accepted with GPAs lower than that. There are plenty of other parts of the application where you can stand out, community service, research, leadership, the DAT and so on. Stay confident :)
