They’re not necessarily intros, but some of the phase transition cutscenes are also so incredible that I could never forget them. Gael realizing that he has finally become the Dark Soul, Father Ariandel’s rage upon defeating Sister Friede, Malenia becoming the Goddess of Rot, Ludwig and his guiding moonlight, Messmer ripping out his eye, I could go on and on. They know how to make a huge impact with a short cutscene and often very little or no dialogue.

Gael: Hand it over. That thing, your dark soul. This resonates in my soul to this day. For me, this was a powerful goosebumps and the most epic fight and moment in the whole DS series!

Honorable Mentions: *Mogh, Lord of Blood - Elden Ring -As an arm slowly falls down the cracks of a giant cocoon, it spills a pool of blood. And low and behold, Mogh rises from said pool. *Godrick The Grafted - Elden Ring -His monologue as his cape drops revealing many grafted arms was disturbing enough. But then, he chops off his arm and grafts a dragon head onto it, reanimates it, and uses it as a living flamethrower. *Gaping Dragon - Dark Souls -What's this? A small croc snout? But then, the rest of it's body crawls up and we are face with... whatever the hell it is I'm looking at. *Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice -HIS NAME!!! IS GYOUBU MASATAKA ONIWA!!!
