Nintendo sure has included some weird unlockables over the years. For this list, we’ll be looking at strange hidden features or characters found in Nintendo releases. Our list includes playing on foot in "Star Fox 64" (1997), the Great Fairies from "Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity" (2020), the Bug-Catching Net in "Soulcalibur II" (2003), the Arwing in "Bayonetta 2" (2014), and more! Which of these weird unlockables is your favorite? Did we miss any oddities? Let us know in the comments!

really love bayonetta's costumes in 2 such as star fox(like the 64 3d models on the little arwings and that awesome easter egg being how platinum was brought to work on zero.),peach/princess daisy(love the little mario & luigi dolls on her and could see daisy befriending her/find it really funny with how luigi's classic mode in super smash bros. ultimate implies he's intimidated by her which i'd love to see art or a comic of both.:3), samus(both most badass women period along with capcom's/snk & square enix and so a different way of visual narrative with how samus barely speaks outside a few times while bayonetta's snarky,playful,confident,elegant and sassy but both are very friendly deep down.:3) & especially link(love nintendo actually encouraged platinum to show her cleavage & think the witch actually looks very natural in link's clothes with how the games settings could easily be a modern hyrule.) showing so much support to the series(honestly remember her more as a nintendo character than a sega one though would love to see her in a sega all stars game to see her interact with sonic & tails.) and hope we see them again. was very happy to see the botw fairies be playable in age of calamity(find it funny all 4 are crammed inside their just as thick ,sexy shaped & beautiful flower.:3) with how you pretty much played as one in og hyrule warriors.

Wow, Bayonetta as Fox and Samus, even Link is really cool actually. They made the costumes look soo good for the game. It helps that she wears them well too XD.

I love the flying Buick it is very bonkers and very useful in Rouge Leader and Rebel Strike but in Rouge Squadron 1 and Battle for Naboo it’s only change the models of both the V-Wing and the Gian Speeder.

Sure, seeing Bayonetta in Nintendo character costumes is nice, but a flying Buick in certain Star Wars games... AWESOME! 🤯

i had fun with r.o.b in mario kart ds(used to think as a kid it was previewing him in brawl.) and would love to see him and other nintendo characters along with other parts of mario like warioware/captain syrup,pauline,donkey kong's cast,e. gadd and the rpg characters in mario kart 9,was happy to see the botw fairies be playable in aoc(find it funny all 4 are crammed inside their just as beautiful flower.) with how you pretty much played as one in og hw, still think link is the best guest in soul calibur(though also liked heihachi,lloyd & 2b.:3) with a funny reference to the bug nets potency(only missing the bottle .) and wow didn't know the on foot star fox started in 64's multiplayer (so assault kinda is a fleshed out version of it like zero was to 2's walker.would love to see the next game be a mix of it with 2's gameplay/other playable characters.)

Would've been funny if Wave Race 64 had a giant seahorse as an unlockable. That was a line in the commercial - strap on that seahorse and ride! - so it would've been cheeky to stealthily reference an unlockable like that.

Totally upset you never mentioned the N64 controller as playable vehicle in the N64 game "Aero Gauge" It has been my first taste of weird unlockables when i was a young lad.

Head up Oddjob is banned in multiplayer in Goldeneye for Nintendo 64 for cheesing the game play of firing the other players.

Does R.O.B. really count as unlockable in Brawl since you get him as part of the main story?

yes because it's not in the starting roster. whether through playing tons of vs matches or going through Subspace Emissary, anyone not available when you first start the game is counted as being unlockable

@@BJGvideos um...yeah....you have to play x number of matches OR reach a point in story mode to UNLOCK the character. anything you don't have when you first start a game is an unlockable ( obviously not counting DLC, though expansions can add new unlockables ). it can be as simple as story progression or as annoyingly convoluted as killing x number of enemies with a very specific ability or weapon ( or some of the Pokemon evolution methods we've been getting...like Sirfetch'd or Goodra or Runerigus...or any friendship evolution )

Sega owns the IP and the first game, but Bayonetta 2 is owned and co-developed by Nintendo.
