It does get a lot better. There will still be annoying moments because all the characters are flawed and will do stupid things but overall it's a great show. I personally didn't enjoy the first few episodes myself.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this reaction when I first watched the show I stopped watching it after like 5 eps because the character were annoying and doing things wrong but here I am almost 2 years later completely in love with it of course characters have their flaws but for the most part you Coke to understand their reasoning behind their decisions I recently (two days ago) started the entire series over to see how I would react a second time and I can tell you that after some consideration and understanding I can say that every character (besides Murphy and Jaha who I still have a hard time connecting with) has either redeemed themselves or something in the show has outweighed my opinion of them in order for me to enjoy the show so stick with it and I promise you won't be disappointed unless you become a bellarke shipper then it's time to run lol it's a great representation of queerness and character depth
