Sherman 105 manages to have the most inconsistent heat shell in the game. Sometimes it will hit the whole crew, sometimes it will stop at the first one, sometimes a track will eat it, sometimes the track shot will still work.

War Thunder is inconsistent in general.

@KV-1Bean In this case, they have an excuse. The M67 shell had a lower muzzle velocity than the standard HE, and as a result, when it struck a solid object, the plunger fuse wouldn't seat completely or properly, particularly if the shell was more than a few years old. This led to a delay in the charge firing, reducing the shell spalling. The penetration could be reduced by almost 45% in a partial fire situation or produce a dud. And rl artillery crews would use HE almost exclusively in preference to the M67. In the early stages of the Korean War, US and South Korean forces only had M101 howitzers to defend against North Korean T-34/85s, and quickly realized how unpredictable their 5 to 6 year old M67 shells were against armor.

Fun fact about the Arkansas question - Here in south central Kansas is a town called Arkansas City. To avoid confusion, most people just say "Ark City" so we don't have to argue. If people do choose violence then they call it "Ark-Kansas City" and not pronounce it like we do for the state of Arkansas (Ark-an-saw).

Fun fact I learned after moving to Springfield, MO - Arkansas is name after the Native American Arkansas tribe. Their name was somewhat similar to the Chickasas (Chick-a-saw) tribe. Strangely enough, Missouri is named after the Missouri tribe. I never knew there was a Missouri tribe.

Back in ancient times the most known "Refrigerator" was the Frigidaire brand ICEBOX. Block of ice delivered by horse drawn ice wagon. "Frigid" got washed out to "The Fridge"

"the front of my Sherman looks. Not great" Literally me in every world of tanks match i play in the 105 😂. It's very opposite of the french heavies, which are pretty squishy with awesome guns. Jumbo is like "all shall fear my armor. HIYAH" and lobs a fart bomb at the enemy unless it can find an extra weak spot

I have a computer /history teacher who used to serve in the cold war and, he says aiming at the turret always makes it go in the air. It kills everyone in the tank but also of course makes the tank not usable obviously. It's the best spot to destroy a tank he told me.

To answer Stick's inquiry about Arkansas is that it used to have a W on the end but they changed it at some point to Arkansas so there you go lol

As a territory it was organized as Arkansaw, but saw a variety of spellings before officially becoming Arkansas when it became a state in 1836.

If I rememeber correctly. Arkansas and Kansas are two names for the same tribe. but one got the french name/pronunciation and the other the brittish. thus the different way of saying it.

If i recall correctly, arkansas is pronounced ark-kan-saw because two politicians got into an argument over what to call the new territory at the time and one wanted arkansas for nationality spelling (pronounced ar-kansas) and the other wanted it to be called arkansaw (pronounced ar-kan-saw) to remember the native american tribes and so it decided it would be compromise of both, with spelling of arkansas but pronounced arkansaw.

English isn't a dirty language. It's DOZENS of languages. Celtic grammar, German and Norwegian words with a skin of French over it, with a healthy dose of Latin and Greek and words here and there from all the other languages English-speakers have ever encountered.

For me, the only downside of this tank was its ammo capacity since I rarely died in this tank. Ofc the heat shell is inconsistent but I liked it because it had pretty much ok pen and could just overpressure every open top vehicles.

Personally in the "Arkansas" debate, I don't really care which way people say it. I purposefully say it wrong to irk people, but I also know how to say it right and why it's pronounced "Ark-an-saw". It's a mixture of Native American Heritage and way to honor the French Explorers. I quite enjoyed the trek out to the stone that marked the start of the Louisiana Purchase (fun fact it's in Southern Arkansas). Another great twist on the name: Ark-an-sass. I use it on people who get offended when they hear the states name wrong. Yes, I am from Arkansas btw.
