That 60 Pontiac has a cool body style. After doing a few LS swaps in old GM vehicles I have found that it is a money saver (& safer to drive) to go ahead and upgrade the front suspension, steering & brakes first and do away with the heavy stock cross member. I've also noticed the older the vehicle the more work & $ is required, but I hate vehicles with plastic interior.

Those jump packs are made by JNC and can be found for around $150. That one looks to be the JNC4000.

Great video! I heard the truck harmonic balancer works with the LS 1 waterpump. Do you notice any difference from using truck truck harmonic balancer from the Camaro?

A Holley 302-2 pan would probably clear with no problem.

Awesome video Steven… I have a question Steven I’m a doing a swap ( ls2 gto engine ) on 68 Pontiac Catalina but I’m have a lot finding the right frame mount, which fram mount do you think is the perfect for my swap and oil pan as well. Thanks I would really really appreciate the help.

Fellow 🇨🇦 here...I have a question steve..love this Vid..putting a LS6 swap in my 60 X Frame wagon... I'm buying some red fuel rail covers BUT can not find the factory push pins that go on the coil packs(5 of them) what do you use???? Also I have most of the c5 stuff like you....can I use a truck idler pulley???? Cant seem to get a straight answer.

Thanks for quick response..I'm copying you and using c5 accesorys.. although Alternator going to cost more than I planned...🤷‍♂️ I'm in Victoria and have tried 2 GM dealerships and NO one can figure out push pins or part number... I'll check Rock for tensioner.. I'm using ls6 manny also..

Camped many a time with kids in "Gordon bay" 😀.. yes alternators same but decided to use original c5 accessory bracket...reasonably priced.. but I gather the clocking on the Vette alternator bolt holes is Vette specific...so might have shot myself in the foot..lol.

hello brother, I'm just wondering are there any engines you could recommend for a 1983 ford Capri? I want to do an engine swap but I don't want anything too powerful like an LS, preferably something to give anywhere from 160-190 hp, maybe low 200s. I was considering an m52 from the E36 but i feel that could be a little heavy for a capri

I bought a 2008 charger rt and I want to put a vette motor or something dependable should I just put a srt motor if I can get my hands on it or just build a 350 383 stick what would you do valve seals go on 5.7 smh any advice
