I really loved the honest review and recommendations to actually try out the other chairs before making such an investment. Really shows that you have the person who's gonna be sitting in it in mind, rather than trying to give a hard sell on the chair itself. Thank you~

Update: purchased this exact chair myself and it arrived today. Immediately after a couple hours of use, the hip pain that I was experiencing from sitting and getting up from my old chair that made it hard to walk for a few seconds is gone. That alone was wroth it for me. However, being able to adjust the arms without having to adjust my chair height is also a game changer because my old chair couldn't do it. 10/10 purchase with no regrets.

I went to this one after my 2018 Secret Lab Titan. It is far superior in all ways (as it should be for the price). Just today I sat for about 8 hours straight and then 3 more a little later and I completely forgot I was even sitting in a chair. In the SL Titan I would have noticed neck pain and butt pain (Not a fan of their concrete seats, especially since i'm light). I will say, the price has gotten kind of out of hand recently. They upped it by quite a bit. Atlas Headrests are also coming out with headrests (presumably before years end) for the embody. For anyone who is thinking about the embody, it is a great chair, it doesn't need a headrest if you are doing 80% productivity while sitting down, but if you plan on doing prolonged media sessions, a headrest would definitely be nice.

I have the regular one, not the Logitech "Gamer" version, but I absolutely love this chair. My job involves me sitting in it for anywhere from 8 to 16 hours in a day and I never have any pain or discomfort. I almost never want a headrest, but I'm hoping the company that made one for the Aeron makes one for the Embody too soon.

I've had my LE in Cyan now for over a year now and I love it as much as I did when I first bought the chair. It is still super comfy even though I'm still trying out new setting on the chair all the time and have not found what I liked the most. I have the back right knob twisted all the way up and the right middle knob is about 7 or 8 full turns. I try new settings everyday and it feels good for that time but I'm always still exploring. The one thing that I wish the cushion did not do is that it conforms to your bum so it will have indents of your legs and your rump after a month or so but apparently it's designed to do that. Otherwise, the chair is super comfy and I would not trade the chair in for another unless it was the Aeron RM or the Cosm Highback. Even then I don't know that I would stay with those chairs. Anyways. Good Video!

Just brought my embody with white frame and balance fabric, at first I thought of going for Mirra 2 but I changed my mind after weighting the pros and cons. if you want a better breathble fabric you should go for the balance fabric which has holes in it. Logitech version typically use sync fabric that is less durable but it's fabric thickness allows you to clean it much easier and I heard it is stain resistant.

Hi! Late comment, but recently got a regular Embody after watching your reviews and wanted to ask if there was a transition period for you in terms of getting used to the chair? I upgraded from a Sayl! I ask because I notice my hamstrings feeling pressure when sitting on the Embody and not sure if its a seat height/depth issue or a “Im not used to sitting in the Embody” issue yet. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

In my opinion its not that great. I like having a head rest like in the autnomous chair has and breathable mesh design in order to avoid waking up every half an hour. as a software engineer i spend more than 80% of my waking time sitting in front of computer, for me any price is going to worth it if it means it will save my back and also the build is meant to last more than 10 years under heavy use.

I've purchased less expensive chairs and am very thankful to have upgraded to the latest Aeron. The suspension is better than the embody and it confirms to the back more easily. Definitely worth the cost, though I did buy them during the 15% off sale.

The answer is no because it's too expensive. and neither are $300-$500 ergo office chairs because ergonomic is different to each users. Longer leg base seat could be ergonomic to some while it isn't to others. So don't buy into the whole ergo chair is better than gaming chair bs. It's just a marketing gimmick to purchase mesh... Yes (even high end mesh chairs with plastic frame) for $500 when the actual built cost of the chair is probably $30 for materials and $100 into rnd. Then the remaining is pumped into marketing. As for gaming chairs (the good ones at least that costs $500) you're paying $100-$200 on materials (please don't tell me that pu leather and metal frame is cheaper than mesh and plastic for the love of god) and then $50 into rnd. So you're still effectively paying half for maybe 3/4 for what's it's worth for the chair compared to an "ergonomic chair" with mesh and plastic frames. Think people, think

You have effectively completely made up a scenario and said nothing outside of "but it isn't metal!". Companies like Herman Miller and Steelcase design their seats ergonomically to provide the most ADJUSTMENTS to fit people. Whenever you buy a product you're not just paying for "expensive materials", especially when it comes to seating, you're, a lot of the times, paying for design, adjustability and features that fit your necessities. Since you seem to have never seen an ergo chair before, why don't we just run through what you're ACTUALLY paying for. 1. You're paying for a chair designed to provide support to your lower back, this will aid in aligning you to mimic a standing position as much as possible (humans aren't made to sit for 8-12 hours a day). A gaming chair provides little to no lumbar support, and, for the ones that do, they tend to be lackluster in adjustability, and as such will provide you a subpar experience for about the same price as some ergo chairs. You can say what you will, but lumbar support in seating isn't some new "gimmick" lol 2. You're paying for a 12-year warranty. If there comes a time your chair stops working on you, you will be able to do something about it. You're not paying for a chair you'll use for a year, you're paying for a chair you'll use for the next decade. 3. ADJUSTABILITY. Gaming chairs tend to provide little to no adjustability outside of the basic tilt and height adjustments. If the chair doesn't fit you, there's little you can do about it. A chair like the Embody or the Steelcase Leap V2 will provide you with seat pan adjustment, arm height, pivot, width and depth adjustment, and lumbar support adjustment among with other functions. (So, if you think "the long seat pan may be ergonomic for some but not others" then you can simply adjust the seat pan to be shorter, there you go) Use whatever you want, it is truly your prerogative if you want to fuck over your back simply because you are getting "more expensive materials" in your gaming chair of choice. But why even bother commenting on why ergo chairs are bad when you have 0 clue what they do or how they even work. All of these top-of-the-line ergo chairs are using ergonomics based on studies of human physiology, why? Because these companies have decades of good reputation building high-quality seating, it would make 0 sense for them to try to swindle customers with a marketing ploy in exchange for the decades of good rep they've built up. Think, Shynobiex, think.

@@thatmfdiego did I once mention about ergonomic chairs above $500 in the steelcase and Herman Miller category? I'm specifically highlighting chairs that claims to be ergonomic with a similar price point gaming chair whilst providing limited functionality compared to the more expensive ergo Chairs. 1) new gaming chairs like the secret lab have a built in lumbar support which works as well as the ergo Chairs I've used in the past at similar price point. Only difference is one is uncomfortable to sit in cause it's mesh and tends to sag after 5 months of use while the other maintains it's firmness and cushion throughout. 2) 12 years warranty? Have you actually read their warranty policy? It's literally only for defective parts and faulty mechanism that came during the delivery. They do not, I repeat, they do not cover normal wear and tear on the chairs. I'm not talking about Herman Miller category cause I've had a pleasant experience with them when exchanging parts that were run down after 3 years of use. As I'm typing, I'm still using my aeron and it's still a great chair. The reason why I'm typing this is cause the other ergo Chairs that are in the gaming chair price range just doesn't seem to hold up well after 6-12 months of use. And warranty does not cover user wear and tear despite it's 12 year warranty. I've bought 2 different so called "ergo" chairs for family members and they fall apart and I'm unable to claim warranty because of user end use. This pushed me to try gaming chairs out of curiosity and I found the secretlab 2022 edition to be top notch. 3 months in and I realized some abnormal wear on my seat base. Got it exchanged within 3 days with little to no fuss and its been 5 months now and the seat base still looks good as the day I bought it. So yes, the good high end gaming chairs are not a gimmick and they are honestly worth for what it is. 3) the good high end gaming chairs like I said on my secretlab does all the things you've mentioned. The only thing that it does not do however is the front tilt function like I can do on my aeron. Despite that, it's still much better than all the other ergonomic chair I've tested at show rooms and used in the past from my past 2 purchases. The argument here isn't about whether gaming chairs are better than ergonomic chairs. You forgot to add context to it like I've mentioned in my previous post being $300-$500 gaming chairs better than the ergonomic chairs in this price range. The answer is and always be a hard yes. If you want a good ergonomic chair, a steelcase or Herman Miller would definitely be better than any gaming chair period. But if you're looking for a good chair in general with some ergonomic functions at the $300-$500 price range, then the gaming chair will definitely perform beyond it's expectations unlike the lower quality $300-$500 "ergonomic" chairs.

@@chandleryt7496 not really an opinion more fact about the price, and it’s also what others repeat. Exactly, each to their own on the matter regardless. As for me, I am a web developer working from home and I also like to game, so I spend a lot of time on it. It’s an investment toward health so I don’t see personally any issue with the price.
