In today's video I comprehensively review the 4Simmers Boeing 787-9, you may have seen it on the marketplace for a cool $15.99 but looks can be conceiving, there is certainly a lot to be desired here. That's not to say it does not have its place, in today's video I share my thoughts on this latest pay-ware airliner, now available on both PC and Xbox.

These developers are really something else, getting paid to slap a -9 on Asobo aircraft, at least put a EFB or add some exciting systems to it. The marketplace was the worst thing invented

I completely agree. I would love a stand-alone 787 for the sim, but I just wish Asobo would put the 787 alone on the marketplace.

@@popo864 It wouldn't be a scam, more so if that was to be implemented it would be a community thoughts, same thing as reviews. People call Captain Sim "Captain Scam" they're disregarding the actual meaning of scam. Captain sim clearly states they use 747 systems, it's the exact same story when it comes to the 787-9.

I use the marketplace on regular base and never experienced something bad tbh, although I do know what I'm looking for, it's not that I come across something and buy it. Just a easy way of buying add ons! Why do so many people think it's not good? For what it's worth, I'm just wondering!

I think that this was very suprising with most people waiting for Horizon's 789, this was really a strange release. If it is better than Horizon's then I will of course download this one.

They have a huge list of fixes coming. They posted shortly after release. The aircraft is great and flies well.

Thanks for the review! I feel like the target audience for this are the guys and gals on Xbox who don't have access to the wide variety of freeware like the Kuro 788, that isn't a jab at Xbox or anything, I fly on console too, for what it is and for what we have access to, I guess it isn't too bad

Love the channel, just subscribed! All I can say is that as someone who has the Premium Deluxe, the Kuro 787-8 is one of the best airliners available especially if you want to do British Airways long haul routes. Am considering getting the 787-9 too.

@@Aphixity As usual we would rather not provide release dates / or even estimates about any of our mods. The reason being is that we'd rather not overpromise and underdeliver. Stay tuned though as we will be providing progress updates whenever applicable :)

If it was 15 for a stand alone plane it might be worth it but the fact you have to have the -10 will turn everyone away

Yep I got the 787-9 and 10 the first thing happen when I tried playing it the screen panel went dark. I was like here we go again screen panel going dark. Why can't they make anything right. Xbox series s player. Always a fear of any plane of the panels going dark in the cockpit. Seems I'm wasting money in the market for Xbox series S.

Hey man thanks for the review, was hesitant about purchasing it. One thing I don't understand is why all the developers of all the versions of the 787 (Asobo, Kuro, etc) keep using this exterior model that just seems to sit too high, I don't know if they ever have had a picture of a real 787 in front of them, the plane sits low on the ground but the model they've used looks more like a 777 in terms of height.

The plane’s banking turns are really heavy and slow for me. I play on xbox, is this normal or a bug that needs fixing because it makes the flight much harder :(

I noticed the visual downgrade in LOD distance for textures in the latest beta release? As soon as you get not very high, the ground textures become much reduced in quality and very blurry. This makes the ground textures look much worse than before

I purchased this plane on msfs a week ago, and it's unusable. The livery is some pink pixels and you cant do anything. It says it requires the 787-10... is that true or is something else the problem?

Volt már ennél rosszabb vételem is. 😂. Bredok3D 737 ami anno 5700 volt de akkor meg nem volt PMDG. Akkor ott volt az erj 190/195 szinten hasonló áron de annak a belseje ami nem igazán megnyerő. Úgy gondolom 4700-ért elfogadható ár ha előre tudod hogy kell hozza a premium deluxe verzió. Nekem ennyiért megfelel és remélhetőleg nem hanyagolják el a frissiteseket hozza.

not worth it, absolutely. 16 usd for a copy that is more like a skin of -10, totally not worth it. at least kuro -8 is more well done and is free too. i mean come on at least put a half baked efb only for sake of change.

In my opinion, this addon is no better than the Captain sim 777. They both took default addons and piggy backed of of the hard work of other people (especially for simmers with working title) reskinned the default addons and made certain other minor tweaks before releasing them for their own monetary gain. I look at this product and see a lazy developer much akin to trash such as Bredok3d and the MSFS rendition of captain Sim. Personally, I have never experienced the Asobo 787-10 losing lift on final so I can only assume that that is down to For Simmers (ironic name) not doing a very good job. This embarrassment is only highlighted further by the Kuro 787-8 that has been released for free and I think unless the dev makes significant updates to their product, they should be ashamed to charge 16 dollars for this addon. That being said, I do think there is a lot of potential for this product to improve and with the money that this product should generate (due to the fact that on Xbox there is no alternative 787-9, I hope the dev decides to further invest in this addon.

At least captainsim took the systems, but modeled something, and made a pretty nice exterior from scratch, they basicly did what Kuro did, and charged $16 for it...

Why won't anybody fix the darn, thicc, chunk wings? Too much curve underneath the wing, beyond the wing pylons. Sorry but if anyone says it isn't important, should have the same view regarding every other part of the modelling. PASS. It is the same thing and I have the original and Kuro for free.
