The 1LT isnt necessarily the fastest, non Z51 cars have a higher top speed. Whether that is 1LT, 2LT, or 3LT. The weight difference depending on how much is added COULD affect it, but in reality that is pretty negligible. The C8 no matter what trim level is a FANTASTIC machine though.

Interesting. On page 224 the recommended fuel is 91 or higher.. but then states it is required in the following sentence. Then on page 178 it states "unleaded gasoline, rated at 93 octane or higher is required".. I should have done my due diligence and not assumed it was the same recommendation as my previous Vettes (so thank you for the feedback). Now if 93 or higher is required that tells me this LT2 is at its max as far as power ratings go even with a healthy tune.

@@VetOnVettes The manual is confusing, so you need to look closely at the headings. Where you see the reference to "Recommended Fuel" look the title above on the graphic and the preceding paragraph and you will see that it is referring to Top Tier Fuel. Further in the manual it states if you don't use Top Tier detergent gasoline, you will need to add fuel treatment every 9,000 miles. Look also at the heading prior to where the manual states 93 octane and you find that section is titled "Track Events and Competitive Driving". Therefore, 91 octane is required at all times for normal driving, and it requires 93 octane when tracking.

No thanks, doing darn near anything outside of going for ice cream or coffee is considered "running errands" and is not covered.

In my area I have never scraped. My driveway has a pretty good size dip and doesn't even scrape. If you live somewhere mountainous or San Francisco I would consider it. But for me it's a non issue.

I was having issues with my steering column lock and the car cutting off on me after accelerating over 2 mph 😆 but I figured it out and fixed the problem 👍 thanks for responding back to me though. I have not driven a Z51 to have an exact comparison.. but it's fast. Ridiculously fast. My 0-60 times are constant around 2.9-3 seconds.

@@VetOnVettes , you check out Vettes4Vetts? They have some pretty good stuff happening. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of Military Vets that are Corvette owners.

The low spoiler used in the top speed run unselects the Z51 package. Their top speed record was closer to a regular stingray top speed run actually. The top speed run was not done with the Z51 package unfortunately.

@@sonicloud7774 That is not true. Go to the build site, add Z51, delete Z51 aero package, then add low profile spoiler. It does not delete the Z51.
