It's like drafting in the 80s or earlier. -Not a lot of info that year. -you've got to go off old info, maybe high school footage for freshmen. -no workouts -no ncaa tournament -prospects didn't have the summer to prepare for their new team, because the draft was so late, and a month before the season started. Yea, this is absolutely a weird draft with a weird draft situation, but we also need to recognize that most of the hidden gems are guards, which matters. When it comes to guards, aside from those with outlier attributes, it's just not that unusual to see truly great or even all-time guards go later in the draft like it is for big men.

I wasn’t against Ant going #1, but I did gravitate to Wiseman in this draft just because I thought with the size and athleticism, there was no way he wouldn’t end up as at least a starting caliber center who could run the floor, set screens, and roll to the basket while providing decent-to-good rim protection on the other end. And yet here we are at his first free agency and Ant’s a super-duper star and are we even sure Wiseman’s gonna get a 2nd contract?

I honestly thought Avdija was gonna go 4th overall, he had all the tools to become an all-star imo. Nowadays he's that kind of player that gives you everything except for elite scoring. Put him in a top seed and I can imagine him playing a key role in a Championship run, kinda like a modern day Iguodala.
