Wonder why manufacturers typically provide loaded top trim versions of their vehicles as press vehicles? Answer: So reviewers don't spend an entire review complaining about the features not available on a base model. And since comparisons are much like an "arms race," sending a base model to reviewers while other manufacturers provide fully loaded top trim models puts a brand at a significant disadvantage. Rather than complaining about each and every missing feature from the base Seltos, the review might have been better focused on what it shares with other trim levels and how it compares to competitors. For example, the Seltos is less than 170" in length. That's from one to three inches less in length than major rivals such as the Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-30, and the Buick Encore. In terms of cargo space, it tops the class with 26.6/62.8 cubic ft behind the 2nd row and overall compared to the HR-V (23.2/55.9), the Mazda CX-30 (20.2/45.2), and the Encore (18.8/48.4). For a couple, even with a big dog, the Seltos provides cargo space adequate for a lengthy vacation compared to its rivals. In fact, the Seltos offers more overall cargo space than a Mazda CX-5 (59.6 cf) a compact SUV that's 19" (!) longer than the KIA. In terms of engines and drive trains, only the Mazda CX-30 comes close to the Seltos with a naturally aspirated 2.5L four cylinder with a six speed transmission. (186 hp; 186 ft lbs) compared to the Seltos with its optional 1.6L turbo 4 (175 hp; 195 ft lbs), the same engine, slightly de-tuned, from the Veloster N) and a 7 speed DCT. The Seltos is slightly quicker to 60 mph (7.3 seconds to 7.8). In terms of base engines the Seltos NA 2.0L 4 banger offers more HP and torque than the HR-V and the Encore. (The CX-30 doesn't offers only one engine choice.) In terms of fuel economy the base Seltos yields 31 mpg's combined compared to the 27 mpgs provided by both the Seltos turbo and the CX-30. Finally, there's price. MSRP's can be a misleading guide to real world transaction cost but for what it's worth, the Seltos begins at $21,990 for an AWD model. The HRV begins at $22,320. The Buick at $23,095, and the CX-30 at 23,300.

Keep making these type of videos, giving your insight on the interior (good or bad) quirks! It is hard to find these during a brief test drive a dealership, especially if the sales rep is talking all the time. It is also entertaining.

You've had such a honed and detailed format for the interior reviews, which I'm sure has made it difficult to incorporate Beth's opinnions, but I have to say these interior reviews are definitely getting better and more natural feeling. I think it was a good idea which someone else pointed, that Beth could give some sort of overall impressions (including maybe ride qualilty and NVH from the passenger perspective) at the beginning, after which you could dive into the details, with Beth filling in with the little details she might have noted. Keep up the great work!

Matt, I thought of another car with that type of blue interior trim could you lookup a 2015 Chrysler 200S interior and tell me does that blue tie in good? (It’s on the dash and front doors and center counsel IN S MODEL)

That lil cubby above the usb on the sx model is a wireless charging station for a iphone 10 and up not sure about this model.

I don't like the sculptured (dented) speaker appearance either, however I think this is a very nice vehicle.

Probably the reason for the blue accents in the interior is because orange and blue are complementary colors. Since the outside is a somewhat muted color of orange, that is likely the reason for the muted blue stitching and dash accents.

Would be interested in seeing the full review with driving included but I can't find it. Am I the doophus?

Matt I actually prefer a key. I never have to be concerned about the battery on the key fob needing replacing. Or learning how to replace the key battery or open the car with the hidden key, etc. Having a key is straight forward.

In mine the blue dash matches the stitches.

I seen one of these at church today, except it was the S version of the Seltos

I have the SX and i love the interior. Glad I didn't go with the base model...it's definitely doesn't look as good as the sx!

I have the Seltos S and I like everything about it.

KIA Seltos rear Aircon vent blowing warm air when Aircon temperature is set at 25 degree celsius and outside environmental temperature is above 34 degree celsius, their service work shop claimed that is normal. During the visit on 26 Apr 2021, inspection was carried out on the vehicle’s Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning System; the values such as Ambient Temperature Sensor, Evaporator Temperature Sensor, photo sensor, In-car air temperature sensor and other related values that maintain the operation of the climatic air-conditioning system. We did not find any abnormalities in the values and all sensors and actuators are functioning normally and a diagnostic scan with the manufacturer’s diagnostic scanner did not report any diagnostic trouble codes. These data was also inspected and compared to 2 other similar vehicles and the performance was found to be similar and thus the vehicle’s air-conditioning system was judged to be operating normally. That's KIA Seltos radiculous Air con system

Not much of a problem with the inside interior features. That depends on the preference of the owner. Others like it, others not, bottom line, it still a good vehicle for me :)

You think...it might.. you don't know why!! not a very decisive decision and then the cliff hanger...but it could...could mind you, work, pretty good. if you upgrade, no key issue.Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Hey Matt! I actually find vehicles with traditional twist keys to be a lot more appealing than push to start vehicles because I just feel more connected to the car I guess especially when starting it up :) i dont think having a key is necessarily bad because i think that there are people who still prefer it over push to start :)

First time seeing your reviews. I'm very annoyed with both of you especially her. The world isn't designed for her. She's out of place. I heard I don't know way to many times, her trying to be quirky is sad. I get people have their own choice in what they like. A car is meant to provide transportation not feel as though you're in a lear jet. Also many people don't like all the up grades they are the ones that appreciate the ride and performance, myself I prefer actual keys over keyless. There are many different groups of customers they are trying to sell to. You say the car is quirky, is say just as quirky and your review.

It has been confirmed that the Mustang Mach 1 will be powered by the familiar 5.0-liter Coyote V8, and that it will definitely be building on the performance chops of the Mustang Bullitt. Sources talking to Ford Authority have stated that Ford is looking at achieving 525 horsepower (391 kW) and 450 pound-feet (610 Nm) of torque with the new Mach 1, well over the 480 horsepower (358 kW) and 420 pound-feet (569 Nm) that the Bullitt is capable of.
