Having travelled around the world since her childhood days, Samina Chowdhury got exposed to different cultures. She got to see how people from different cultures interact or communicate in different ways. Once she moved to the US, she got to see how people communicated differently than what she was exposed to and she started to understand and explore the different ways. Thus she came up with 3 principles of communication that helped her connect on a deeper level and succeed in her Real Estate sales business. With over 20 years of experience Samina Chowdhury is a top producing Real Estate Agent in Maryland and has been featured in Forbes, Baltimore Real Producers, Yahoo, Top 100 Magazine and NY Weekly.
She won many prestigious awards in the Real Estate industry. She is a highly respected and a very successful Million Dollar Agent with The Bob Lucido Team of Keller Williams Lucido Agency and the #1 Keller Williams Team in the World.
What makes Samina stand out in the crowd of Real Estate Agents out there is not only her world class service but also her knowledge of understanding different cultures and lifestyles.
Samina is also the VP for Women4Empowerment, a non-profit where she helps women victoms of sex trafficking. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

"I was shocked that she was shocked" -- a great reminder for those of us who grew up exposed to many other cultures. We can all be reminded that everyone didn't grow up how we did. We all need to have curiosity, humility, openness, and grace. No matter who we're speaking with.

This was Excellent! So many people think of communication as getting out what they want to say regardless of the environment. If we took more of an interest in other people by being present and actively listening, we'll discover that you can find something to talk about with most people.
