I can't believe how long it took me to make bounce in place a consistent habit in my workflow. Seriously guys, just use it, makes arranging a whole lot easier and forces you to commit rather than waste time on constant unnecessary tweaking.

Great stuff! Not sure if anyone else wrote this, but if you option click on one track stack, it will open and close all in case you don't want to add a key command.

tips for those who are a little more advanced 1) opt + k gives you the key command menu. You can search + edit key commands here. I tend to ask myself how I could do each task faster, so every time I go to do something, I check to see if there's a key command for it. There always is. 2) if you have a number pad on the side of your keyboard and use markers, each of the numbers corresponds to a marker. absurdly fast navigation + moves the cycle to your selected marker 3) screensets. this is better than command + ~ because you don't need multiple windows open and can jump straight to the window you want. You can make a screenset correspond to each window (arrangement, midi, audio, console, etc) and then switch using the numbers on the top of your keyboard 4) For the V command, you can also turn on plug-in window linking (the chain link icon at the top right). This means that when you select a given plug-in, it will close the one open before it. super useful in my opinion, because I rarely work with multiple plug-ins at the same time when I'm making a song. 5) Tap tempo - You can access the key command menu and assign a key to tap tempo. when you tap it, it will adjust the project tempo to whatever you're tapping. I did * on the numpad

Brilliant list, memorising all of these will speed up the workflow of any budding producer! One shortcut that is invaluable to me for chopping up audio is ctrl + < or >, Logic moves to the next available biggest transient and then this usually follows cmd + t. For anyone chopping up samples (especially drums) on LPX this is a must!

Awesome video! Here’s a few others that build on shortcuts you mentioned Shift-tab- rename previous track Click on region then hit shift- move region up/down without changing timeline position Ctrl-opt-, or .- set loop range by previous/ next markers. When closing a plugin using the x in the window- if you hold shift and click, it closes all open plugin windows. Also, you can navigate tracks in the mixer with the left and right arrows, and in custom key commands, you can set commands to open and close insert slots, so I set opt-1 to open/ close first plugin slot, opt-2 for second, etc There’s surely many more! One positive in this pandemic has been the opportunity to dig into aspects of logic, or whatever program you use, that you usually wouldn’t have time to do. Thanks for you video though, there were quite a few in there I didn’t know that are really helpful.

This might be helpful to folks. For the automation curve tool, rather than switching with the toolbar menu (T+W) and then (T+T) to get back, if you hold shift+control, the pointer changes to the curve tool. When you let go of shift+control, it changes back to the pointer. I find this to be much more efficient. You can create the curve and then quickly change back to the pointer to move the nodes, or whatever else needs to be done next. Hope this helps somebody.

The cmd + mouse thing depends on what tool you have selected as secondary tool. Personally I never use the marquee tool like that. I use “T” (tool selector) and then select the tool I want with another key. I think it’s easier as I instantly get a dropdown menu with all tools displaying the keys. So for instance if I wanna use the scissors tool I first press T and then I. I’ve used it for so long now that it goes pretty much automatically and I never think about it :)

So right underneath your tempo and time signature in the arrangement window, you'll see your two Tool dropdown menus. The one on the right is by default set to the mighty MARQUEE TOOL which you access by holding command and clicking/dragging. There are a bunch of great youtube videos on the many uses of the Marquee Tool, it's the cat's pajamas.
