Your third base option (where I built my base) has a small tin mine almost directly west. It’s guarded by regular dogs, and doesn’t have much tin, but as you need half the tin that you do copper it’s a great place to mine.

that 3rd base location is where I have my base located and you will get the occasional jag wandering into the base, also I'd suggest anyone considering the area to take into consideration flatness, as in the side of the lake I built on is not flat and it's goddamn annoying especially when I went to put a wall around the base and the max height wall i could build into the water wound up being waist high.... still don't know if they work at that height but its'a definite consideration. I'd suggest after you get bronze going to the wetlands teleporter and building a base near it, no animals to really worry about, a coal mine close by and Iron is close enough. You'll be happy to be close to that coal and iron for the rest of the game and for the period you're in bronze transitioning to iron you'll be right where you want to be with the toad and ape bosses nearby'ish. A lot of people including myself do not cross that river until they're way more powerful than they need to be, I know the plunderers in the ancient ruin totally threw off my idea of how strong I should be before considering crossing the river.

Just west of the first tin copper camp at lake you show... is a tin pit.. at the food of the cliff.. :)

I like north of Barbarian fortress(tribesmen to choose from and resource farm), near the river fork, being near the world teleporter you can transition to other ventures easily without rebasing. Once you understand the game decently there's zero reason not to unlock teleporters and punch above your weight in other zones for tribesmen and weapon supplies.

That first location is exactly where I started both in the demo and when the EA released. It's also not too far from anything you need for quite some time. I'm also still there. Right now I'm looking for a flat spot close to the teleporter. Don't want to move everything only to have to move everything again later.

My base is located in the big body of water between the Flint Tribe Barracks and the Rainforest Portal. I choose this since it's close to the portal which helped me get a Llama early by activating the Hill Portal to transport the baby to my base faster and safe.

Beach where you start is the best main base location. No issues with NPC's getting abducted or other raids etc. Personal teleporters can be installed later to pull from secondary harvesting locations. Win win...

Nice suggestions, I built on the lake you showed at the start and it kinda has nothing going for it. I'm playing solo and just heading into bronze tech so need a new base.

you can make food at the small outcast camps... Dont kill them, they are harmless and good lunch company

ive been build near rainforest portal as a solo player. easy access to all for me.

You want to be close to a portal based on how the game works. After you unlock your own portal then it can be anywhere.
