I cant get over the germany timelapse. In the beginning there was the war with france but then they formed an alliance and other european countries popped up around them. Really great to see. Also i love the way the belgian flag turns into mustard and ketchup for the german bratwurst :D

I was a strong part of r/SquareSpiral which did indeed include negotiating, forming alliances and protecting each others' art ^^ Although screw Finland, they expanded over our art even though we had only ever tried to be friends with everyone lol But it was good fun, we actually came together pretty well, especially considering our art wasn't based on anything pre-existing e.g. countries or games, literally just a simple pattern we all quite liked... Nice video too :)

I think one of my absolute favorite moments of alliance within r/Place was when the rainbow was on a course to run over Waldo. Instead of just drawing the rainbow under Waldo someone drew two portals from the game Portal around Waldo and the rainbow went through that. Most of Waldo has been consumed by the Void but you can still clearly see where the rainbow entered and exited the portals if you look at the Italian flag.
