I'm Brazilian, I'm half black, I lived in Europe for about 8 years and let me assure black travelers: BRAZIL SHOULD NOT BE ON THAT LIST. I'm not crazy about Paris either. London should be on top of the list.
@eyeofthetiger60024 жыл бұрын
I agree with you about London, it's one of the most tolerant major cities in the world besides being the most cosmopolitan due to its history. You can literally find anyone from anywhere in the world in London no matter how obscure the country; that's why London is also the world's largest aviation hub.
@haveagoodday6294 жыл бұрын
Eyeofthetiger This is really sad that certain people can freely travel the world without worrying about social advantages/disadvantages while Black people go where they are merely “tolerated”
@TheNeverposts4 жыл бұрын
@@eyeofthetiger6002 One thousand per cent agree, plus Brits are conventionally quite distant compared to people in most countries (certainly people in Brazil) so even if you're around racists you're totally fine -- no one's gonna just openly racist on you for no good reason. First of all: I love your blog and I'm totally addicted to reading it! I'm Brazilian and I got a bit shocked when I saw BR in your list of best places for black travellers. Brazil is a very racist country for afro-brazlians... We do have a reputation of being really welcoming for tourist. When the Haitins migrated to Brazil after the earthquake they were so poorly welcomed by the population (and still are) that broke their illusion of ''the nice Brazilian''. Interesting debate that. I love your blog.

The journalist was condescending towards African Americans throughout the discussion, his little comments about learning common phrases and getting a visa is unnecessary. Also he said get a passport, a passport is nothing without a visa. If he don't sit his pretentious self down, if you have the money you travel, if don't have the money you don't go. It's not complicated.

Nice, I’ve actually only been traveling for two years now. I have been to a lot of places but I think my friend is trying to get us killed on this next trip we’re about to go on next year if this pandemic lifts before March 2021. This fool has booked us a freaking trip to Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪 Now as a black man, is that not a suicide mission, or what? It’s looking like we’re going to be only two day’s there and then leaving for Rome for another 5-6 days. Pray for me y’all, because not too sure about Dublin.

BlaznPhoenix2016 Germany is great and I hear S. Korea, particularly Seoul, is fantastic in the Summer. Canada is great, but for most cities in Canada, there's no real difference from an American counterpart. A few different cities in Canada are Montreal, Quebec City, Victoria and Vancouver. The first two have a French feel you won't find anywhere in the US, and Quebec City has a lot of historical charm. Vancouver and Victoria are fantastic, relatively warm in the Winter, Victoria feels British and is on Vancouver Island, and Vancouver (the city) is a World Class City.

Dubai still follows elements of Sharia law. Look up the laws of the land concerning alcohol, traveling with controlled prescription medications and even spending a night with the opposite sex who you are not married to. Bonus, also look up what happens if you get rapped and you end up reporting it to authorities. I just don't want anyone to get caught up in any legal issues.

However,how could you not have London on the list?Best place in Europe for non whites to visit.Culture,food,Naomi Campbell,Anthony Joshua,Lewis Hamilton(almost),Black British Londoners. You didn’t mention anything about Black French people,there’s loads. No mention of visiting Canada,easy for a visit, nearby and safe.Caribbean islands,especially Barbados,Jamaica. Rwanda is a much better choice for Black Africa,clean safe and affordable. My credentials? 62 year old Black British,speak 5 languages, multiple visits overseas since 1972,high end hotels to park benches,Afro down to buzz cuts. Please do yourselves a favour, get a passport,insurance and choose a destination and enjoy. Btw Dubai is full of Z-list British celebrities.

I am not sure if I agree with you on Paris. I work in the traveling industry and been to Paris quite a few times over the years and still traveling there. And when I look outside of tunnel vision and look at how the treat Africans and Muslims, I was far from having the same outlook as you. I went with a coworker to a club there we were both black and his friend was Muslim and we were both let in, his Muslim friend was not without explanation. I guess at that point I could say they love me so they must love blacks? If you discriminate against one you will discriminate against all. Also have not paid attention lately but look at all the back artists videos, all their leading ladies are white?! Please look through the eyes of others to make a fair judgment on racism

If her family is West Indian, how is she is said to be African American. My family line came over on the first slave ships. Which where not all Africans. Some where Isrealites and some where Arab. If I was to go to West Indeans, I will still be called African American. Likewise, other races of people who come to American do not transplant into the cultrue to loose their origin of ethnisity. Except where black people from other cultrues are not clearly defind as to their ethnisity as it defferentiates Black Americans. Who are the true Black Americans. Most of all, where are they gone. It is important to know. For the sake of humanity, the World needs to know. You would not want to be intertaining what you thought was a harmless, non-threatening sect, and find out too late, that it is not the case.

Again!!!! Wrong!!! I traveled to both Dubai and Abu Dhabi alone and love both places Abu Dhabi a bit more because less people and tourists but I would not exactly tell black people to run there, walk maybe but definitely go and not fall under the false belief that is put in our heads in America but with that said, they thought I was probably there for prostitution because I was black and traveling alone even though I dress nothing like one but because apparently a lot of Africans go there for prostitution., they see me as black and think I am from Africa as well. I felt a little less than because my ass spent years in school to pursue 4 degrees and to be judge that way. I do not think the same would be if I was white and keep in mind I was back at my hotel at 7 each night because I do not drink or party so my actions did not align either but again loooove both places and would recommend everyone going. Also I had no problem going through immigration there, so I do not think they thought I was going there for service exchange 😄 better treatment than I often have coming though immigration in the country I live in. So my heading would be “ being punished while traveling black and alone in the Middle East”😊
