Күн бұрынThis week, we're telling you what in our opinion are the 5 best roller coasters in the UK. Of course, the UK has some amazing theme parks and with that come excellent UK roller coasters. Everyone's top 5 looks different so don't take offence if your number 1 didn't make our list of best coasters in the UK! Alton Towers is home to many of the best around, with the likes of Oblivion, Wicker Man and Nemesis found around the park. Thorpe Park also claims a spot with The Swarm. And Blackpool Pleasure Beach features too with Icon. It will be interesting to see how this changes in the future with the Nemesis retrack and Project Exodus at Thorpe Park currently under way!

Best is probably wickerman, However my personal favourite is nemesis for nostalgia & because I rode it with John Wardley.

Going from the timeline of when you released this video 1. The swarm (smooth and quite intense) 2. Nemesis (very intense interesting layout) 3. The Smiler 4. Saw (great theming as a horror fan and saw fan good indoor section great drop and some of the best airtime hills on uk coasters, can be very rough though) 5. Thirteen (like the first drop and the terrain around the coaster being in the woods, not intense but alot of interesting sections)

This list is a bit odd, only in that Nemesis isn't even running currently. Smiler surely needs to be on there?

Nemesis is just currently being refurbished! Undoubtedly one of the best coasters in the UK by anyone's stantards, we think.

I enjoyed this list, definitely agree about Nemesis and The Swarm! I'm going to Flamingo Land tomorrow for the first time, will be interesting to compare the coasters there with the buffers ones at places like Alton Towers and Thorpe Park.

Been saying for years how crap our coasters are compared to America and the rest of Europe. That said I do still like the majority of ones here

As an American whose ridden coasters all over Europe, many coasters in Britain look good to me, many, like those on this list and others, look very good. But there aren’t - yet - any stand-out, world-class coasters. The biggest draw for an outsider enthusiast like me has long been the original, quirky, unique coasters that Britain has, but in recent years the UK seems intent on summarily destroying those. I’m still intending to do a coaster tour of Britain (well, England and Wales), but I’ll wait until Nemesis and Valhalla are definitely open, and Thorpe Park gets its new coaster.
