I have no idea why watching this drama, which is consistent with most of the other dramas being shown, there is so much criticism and negative feedback! I gave up on boring American TV shows, with overpaid actors and overblown budgets, a long time ago and since discovering these Asian dramas, I am loving it, good bad or ugly!

It's so weird that they would steal someones baby to get a rich & powerful husband, but then abuse and neglect the kid they stole (??) why wouldn't you coddle and pamper the kid?

This drama has a nice, tight storyline, None of the screaming and screeching and useless verbal and physical abuse. ML has a bit of complex personality, FL is decisive and strong. The SML is really attractive and looks like his younger brother. Good job guys!

I’m surprised that the female villain didn’t go blind because of the amount of eyeliner they plastered on her.

This is a poorly directed and scripted drama. The acting is very stilted and the conflict feels very contrived -- it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Why would he immediately conclude that she was some kind of high end escort? There are gaps that need to be filled. The ML feels like an empty suit who is purely a vehicle, reacting to circumstances. 90% of the shows with children as movers and shakers often make the adults, mother in particular, look like idiots. But this one is particularly weirdly incoherent. It's as if the production team has taken scenes from various show tropes from other shows and pasted them together without understanding how these tropes should fit together. The show wastes the good chemistry between the leads.

How is anyone suppose to believe these kids are five years old, surely there's not a shortage of kids, of that age in China, to play the part.
