1 of 6 RHDs, only 80 (coupe + convertibles) ever made. This CLK DTM cab drive was a pretty amazing experience, an unexpected opportunity that came up while I was in Jakarta last month.
Hope you enjoy listening to that AMG supercharged 5.5L V8 as I give it the beans through the streets of PIK2 just outside Jakarta!

It's difficult to look at those fenders. So awful. So cheap looking. Too bad they didn't make a proper attempt to integrate the styling.

@@OnlyDinoDCMaybe so, but the whole doesn't add up to a cohesive design. There are two distinct languages used. One of angles, crisp corners, sharp lines and edges and the other organic, fluid, smooth and elegant. Frankly, it looks like a rush job. Wonder if they bypassed the styling studio, where it would have been held up until the car it was intended to homologate wouldn't have been competitive any more. Don't get me wrong. I recognize just how serious a performer it must have been, back in the day (and surely still is, today) but as far as I'm concerned, it's a pretty pathetic fail from an aesthetics perspective.
