Wow, this is without a doubt one of the most craziest stories I have ever heard in baseball hands down! Those are also some beauty's of Doc Ellis cards too! Thanks for sharing this fun fact of Baseball History and cards!

I’ve had this one on my watch list for a little while and I’m glad I finally got to watch it. One of the wildest baseball feats ever. I never knew the complete details of that day. Very well told, Mike. I never realized Ellis, D 🤯 Incredible. What a story, video and message. Cool song too. Thanks for sharing it, Mike.

Fantastic overview on Ellis No Hitter. I saw a documentary about him on amazon or hbo. Love the cards you are sharing of his. The 1972 is one of my favorites. Enjoyed and thanks for sharing with us Mike! I saw you dropped this, but wanted to have enough time to watch in detail.

Thanks Steve! Sorry I've been a bit long winded in the last couple of videos, but they should start getting shorter. LOL

Great video Mike. I enjoyed hearing the history of Doc's No Hitter. That Sports Illustrated in the background with Willie Stargell's signature looks great. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed as always.

Thanks Ed! That signed SI kinda got me on my way to getting many other magazines autographed. I wish I had thought to get more Mickey Mantle magazines and had him sign before his passing. Oh well.

Awesome video Mike! As someone who “researched” LSD a bit in my younger days I find it hard to believe anyone could compete in an MLB game much less pitch a no hitter. It makes for a great story though! That song at the end is awesome! I’ve never heard that one before!

Thanks for watching and commenting Jim! Although my research is strictly theoretical, I would have to agree. Can you imagine trying to pitch a ball that seems to change size and weight in your hands? Crazy!

Tripping video, Mike! For the record I watched completely sober. Thanks for retelling the story with your cool cards and memorabilia. I wonder if MLB upon hearing about the circumstances ever considered expunging Doc’s No No from the record books? Good Collecting👍❤️

Thanks for watching Robert! I was actually not so much concerned that MLB would expunge his record, but that all the other pitchers would want to try pitching on LSD. LOL

Just one of those early 70's stories that goes way beyond the scorecard

Hi Mike, Nice video. one of those well known sporting feats that I didn’t know a lot of the backstory on. It really is remarkable that he pitched at all. Thanks for taking the time to tel the story. I like seeing his run of 70s cards too.
