Uncle Phil threw Jazz out of the house because he was sexually harassing his daughter and the first time rudely damaged his property. That last clip they showed of Uncle didn't even happen, it was just a false story told from Will in Carlton's point of view to make the situation seem worse than it actually was.

Carl Winslow did not beat his children, though he was a jerk to Urkel. Also Feeney moved to a retirment community after Corey graduated high school. It was Corey who tracked him down and convinced him to come back and join the college. Also, I am a massive nerd.

While some people think it's weird and scary that the writers of After Hours put in so much research to pop culture, the real scary thing is the comments, the onslaught of corrections, from people with just ordinary latent knowledge of the events of 90s sitcoms! Detailed knowledge!

That Uncle Phil quote was from an exaggerated story Will was telling within one of the episodes, done so because Will was mad at Uncle Phil for refusing to repair the air conditioning in the pool house that Will himself broke. Really, for as grumpy as Uncle Phil was and for as many outbursts as he had, he really was a good guy 80% of the time. Carl Winslow was pretty dickish though. Also, in one episode of Saved By The Bell it's revealed that Mr. Belding was a DJ who openly rebelled against the school authority, leading him to literally be referred to as "The Zack Morris of the 60s"

The clipped used for uncle Phil shouldn't be used as an example. It was a tainted version of a story created by Fresh Prince to make uncle Phil seem way worse than normal. uncle Phil had a version too.

And Dan was never seen or heard from again.

Turns out Uncle Phil wasn't the violent one in the Fresh Prince.

I find it odd that most of the older episodes have the TV-PG rating, and they don't censor any of their constant swearing, yet the new episodes are TV-13 and they bleep everything out.

1:56 the way Dan O'Brian says the phrase "to be fair" has been imprinted in a weird part of my mind that, hearing it right now, 7 years later, felt like some sort of sleeper agent wake up call and I'm overcome with some sort of thing that I think I need to do.

Of course, *every* sitcom character are people that you'd never want to actually know in real life. They're all creeps.

To be fair Mr. Feeney wasn't really a stalker, if anything he was like a father to Corey and his friends; if anything i would kill to have a teacher like him, someone who doesn't just teach you in school but also in life. Plus his last words really left me reaching for the tissues.

This is like Game Theory for movies and TV.

2:38 - Oh, man! I forgot how great a character Uncle Phil was. And how fun a show Fresh Prince was. It's been too long.

Well to be fair to Carl Winslow he had to put up with so much BS due to Urkel he would be understandably pissed off 24/7. Let's face it Urkel was a living breathing nightmare machine. He caused a ton of money damages to a lot of things in his life (he prob cost the Winslow's 10 thousand + in damage to their home at least and I'm being kind there,) and in one of the later seasons he joked about how he had insurance people on speed dial which isn't anything to brag about. Steve drove Laura crazy especially when they were kids, and Carl had to put up with it and Steve's inability to get a hint. Plus on top of that he had to put up with Eddie being a troublesome teen especially in the first few years of the show. He had that episode where he destroyed the living room by driving the car into it. That was Steve esque damage. Then he had other instances where he did something stupid and Carl had to clean the mess up due to his job. Poor Carl never caught a break when it came down to it. Any less sane man would have lost his mind by year 2 or 3 but he manged to hang in there somehow albeit being mean at times. But in his credit he would always apologize for it when it mattered and he loved Eddie and Steve. He was a good father just in a rough spot.

You seem to forget that Feeny was retired after Cory graduated from High School, it was Cory who sought him out and brought him back into the teaching game when he was having trouble with classes.

I love these things... Cracked.Com... makes me more stupid... but in a way that looks intellectual.

The busboy might have been a coincidence. If they stopped going to the old diner it was probably for a reason like it closed down or something. The dude does still need to work and has experience working in diners so it would make sense he gets a job doing something similar. If anything those four followed him.

Now, I know everyone - including me - ignores the creepyness because it's what makes his character funny and its meant to be OTT, but if we're analysing characters then he is inSANEly creepy, and more than a little fucked up. Not that it takes a lot of analysing to see that. He literally has a space behind his flat where he can tip women he's slept with and doesn't want to have to see in the morning

They failed to mention how full house actually housed 2 Families and 1 puppeteer single dude (creepy)

To be fair to Uncle Phil (RIP James Avery) when his wife disappeared and was replaced with a new actress, it was because of two reasons -- one, the first actress didn't get along with Will Smith, and it was his show, and two, she was in breech of contract when she got pregnant midway through her last season. They couldn't film around her pregnancy because she got so big so fast and not just in the belly, so they had to write in what, for the Banks', was a late-midlife baby that they didn't want to have to deal with. So they finished out that season, had baby Nicky, and during the hiatus swapped out Aunt Viv's and magically aged Nicky until he was five years old.

Uh oh. I know why they all disappear. Because Zack Morris used his "time out" power. He stops time, murders them, and then they're never seen or heard from again and he gets away with it scott free. What else could it be than that? No one else in that universe had any superpowers, let alone one that would be so convenient for committing murder. Also the busboy who seemed to follow them around, laughed just like Mr. Belding. I think. I'm not completely sure.

The darker reality is that irl there are family members and friends who come into your life for a season or two, and then disappear. The cast dwindles. And eventually... The show is over. RIP.

9 years later and we still find our way back we need after hours back!

Mr. Feeny was already a teacher...he didn't become one just once Corey went to school as you implied. Also, he didn't plan on teaching at the college. Corey basically begged him too and said none of them wanted to go without him.

After hours to me is like marvellous headache (in a good way) and the group is the perfect mix for ANY conversation.You have the jock with a little bit of nerdyness,the socially awkward geek,the quirky yet snappy girl and the light-headed sometimes right nitwit.Just amazing. what i'm trying to say is i love after hours

Don't forget about Minkus, who promptly disappeared as soon as they moved up to high school, only to come back 4 YEARS later for the graduation episode, explaining his absence from all their lives by saying "Yeah, I've been down in that part of the school." [points to just off-camera] He then turns toward said hall and calls out for Mr. Turner (the biker teacher who'd been missing from the show for a full year), and promptly disappears once again.

Fun Fact: Reason why Aunt Vivian, from Fresh Prince, changed actresses was because of tension between the actress and Will Smith and how she possibly wanted her character to be the focus of the show. Makes you wonder who's creepier: the abusive uncle or the controlling mother?

Another Zack Morris-esque string of girlfriend disappearances could also be applied to "King of the Hill". Anytime Bobby has a girl (other than Connie) interested in him, and it seems like they could become a couple, that girl is then "never seen or heard from again" (most notably Debbie, who Bobby meets shortly after breaking up with Connie).

I've literally never seen any of the shows referenced.
