That Uncle Phil quote was from an exaggerated story Will was telling within one of the episodes, done so because Will was mad at Uncle Phil for refusing to repair the air conditioning in the pool house that Will himself broke. Really, for as grumpy as Uncle Phil was and for as many outbursts as he had, he really was a good guy 80% of the time. Carl Winslow was pretty dickish though. Also, in one episode of Saved By The Bell it's revealed that Mr. Belding was a DJ who openly rebelled against the school authority, leading him to literally be referred to as "The Zack Morris of the 60s"

Well to be fair to Carl Winslow he had to put up with so much BS due to Urkel he would be understandably pissed off 24/7. Let's face it Urkel was a living breathing nightmare machine. He caused a ton of money damages to a lot of things in his life (he prob cost the Winslow's 10 thousand + in damage to their home at least and I'm being kind there,) and in one of the later seasons he joked about how he had insurance people on speed dial which isn't anything to brag about. Steve drove Laura crazy especially when they were kids, and Carl had to put up with it and Steve's inability to get a hint. Plus on top of that he had to put up with Eddie being a troublesome teen especially in the first few years of the show. He had that episode where he destroyed the living room by driving the car into it. That was Steve esque damage. Then he had other instances where he did something stupid and Carl had to clean the mess up due to his job. Poor Carl never caught a break when it came down to it. Any less sane man would have lost his mind by year 2 or 3 but he manged to hang in there somehow albeit being mean at times. But in his credit he would always apologize for it when it mattered and he loved Eddie and Steve. He was a good father just in a rough spot.
@Valerie_05104 жыл бұрын
I agree not to mention how many times Steve hurt Carl physically on accident like when Carl's back would be acting up and he had a weak heart. I have a troublesome son and a few neighbor kids that drive me crazy all the time. If my life was amped up like on the show I would be just like Carl.

To be fair to Uncle Phil (RIP James Avery) when his wife disappeared and was replaced with a new actress, it was because of two reasons -- one, the first actress didn't get along with Will Smith, and it was his show, and two, she was in breech of contract when she got pregnant midway through her last season. They couldn't film around her pregnancy because she got so big so fast and not just in the belly, so they had to write in what, for the Banks', was a late-midlife baby that they didn't want to have to deal with. So they finished out that season, had baby Nicky, and during the hiatus swapped out Aunt Viv's and magically aged Nicky until he was five years old.

I just figured out that each member of the the group has their own art style when they imagine things. It's a really cool detail. You can see it from the intro.

And ding! The round's over. What a match. Lots of interesting arguments. Michael and Daniel definetely gave the best ones though. They rather trumped each other instead of countering, so I'd call this a tie. Also one plus point for the random guy in the diner... and one minus point for total creepiness! Daniel: 5 Soren: 3 Katy: 3 Michael: 3 Random stalker: 0

The joke was "horror-scope" not "whore-a-scope".
@7MukuroRealm8 жыл бұрын
+URKillingme100 Still, the pronunciation for horoscope doesn't have a second "r" sound in it, so whore-a-scope is the closer sound. Obviously, though, the censors thought it was horror-scope, but I'm pretty sure anything Bob Saget is involved with should be looked at a little closer for stuff like this. Everyone had to know what it would sound like.

Nathan L Yeah, you just kind of over-explained it there. Now I don't even care any more. :P
@DaddyDumptruckDeluxe8 жыл бұрын
+URKillingme100 that's because he's correct, and debunked your outlook on the joke meaning. Of course you don't care, now that you're wrong. Hahaha
