Arizona is home to 6 of the 154 National Forests of the United States. They make up over 12 million acres of the total 72 million acres in Arizona. They are the following from smallest to largest: Prescott, Kaibab, Coronado, Coconino, Apache-Sitgreaves, and Tonto. These lands are under a lot of stress from drought and human development. It's up to us to be forest stewards who ensure these ecosystems survive for generations to come.
