Isn't making sure you have an advantage at every fight you take a good thing? Especially for players who aren't mechanically good enough to fight aim demons who one tap every enemy they see. As long as they're not sabotaging or screwing the team over, some of these playstyles are valid in my opinion

As a proud Rat I would like to point out that unlike the other playstyles mentioned the rat playstyle is rather consistent in competitive as far as I know

Actually the W key players don’t like too choose agents with needed utility, but they get forced into it by 4 instalock duelists on their teams.

As a brimstone player I must say that rushing sites occasionally is really good and I really like running in first with stim boost to get entry frags and then get traded by my teammates especially when I use all my smokes for a hit since I then have no more utility to offer so being the gigabait that entries is really viable in lower elo

Rat playstyle is the most Rewarding playstyle...i do not play judge or ares or anything but...having my presence known for creating pressure is the ultimate form of playing Valorant and helping my team get value out of it coz I create divided attention just by existing somewhere

I think being a rat is not a problem because it's a strategy. What you could've put instead was being a passive player every round because that's a problem many sentinel players do.

I guess, I'm not anyone of them, but all of them partially, except the OP guy. I've been a rat when I realise that enemies are rushing altogether, and a judge may really help me in those situations. I've been a shift Walker, while lurking, to take picks. But I make sure to run back to my team, once I secure a pick. I rush sites, but not enter without any info. If I feel that there are many enemies in a site, I'd call for a rotate.

Bro I’m a w key rusher. While I do push on defence only when I see that the enemy sucks on defence. I do the rat catcher play style when the opposition loves to flank a lot. However I’m not a shift walker or crutch awper nor a lets rush player unless the situation calls for it. Where I’m from lot of players are weak when the defence players push including me. We don’t know what to do than lotta of times.

Honestly I can't really disagree, but what I've learned is that I can't really get mad at anyone for op crutching or lmg crutching, because they are guns that have risk and rewards, so they aren't impossible to counter. And they are a part of the game, and people just use them, I can't use them as much as the next person, I'm just choosing not to. So I don't get too mad about gun crutches anymore because of this reason

Ok I'm gonna be hunted down faster than neon can sprint for this opinion, but hear me out. In my opinion just watching flanks and holding down areas where people typically come from isn't being a rat. For crying out loud that's the whole point of the sentinel role. The same applies for flanking if all five enemies are stacked a what's stoping you from planting b or coming from behind. In my opinion a rat is a player who's whatching an angle that no longer should be watched. For example tucking yourself away in that little hole on ascent b (i think main) is normal and good for catching people of guard. However if my entire team has pushed a and the spike was planted thirty seconds ago and your entire team is begging you to try and defuse it and your still sitting in that little corner and kill me that's being a rat. But what do I know

The Shift walk, rat and op crutch are valid playstyles. at least theres some kind of thinking behind some of em. rather than having a jett rush mid on defence every round on haven and donating your teammates generosity vandal to the enemy team

Shifting through whole map is a problem, but I wouldn't give the same argument. I mean, if u don't expect ur enemy to use basic game mechanics, then it's absolutely only ur fault, that u didn't check ur back, or rushed without checking corners, etc. Not everybody is as good in shooting, so it's not a bad thing to use something like shift to win fr example 1v3, or 1v1 with better player. I get it can be a problem in some situations, but not everytime, or even majority of time. What I would say is a problem with shifting through whole map, is when enemy planted on other side, and some smart asses shift from a to b, giving more prep time for the enemy and loosing majority of a time.

I'm definitely the crutch awp player. I don't think highly of myself because i am aware that awp is a braindead-no skill gun. I honestly just use it with chamber as i have no vandal skills and because i die a lot if i dont have a get out of jail free card. I am so bad with the vandal that my goofy ass started using awp as a shotgun (yes i even scope in close range)
