If you want something very interesting to read regarding Judah and Israel, read the book of Jeremiah and Lamentations. It speaks specifically about the many sins that God punishes them for. The Levitical priesthood was created here to help the other 11 tribes perform these functions. So the 10 Commandments have been here since the Fall of man in the garden of Eden. The Mosaic law was added with Moses and the Mosaic law along with the priesthood was taken away on the cross when our King and Priest Yehushua (jesus) died to take the sins of the world away for all who repent and ask forgiveness. He also said that not one jot or title of the law (Torah) would pass until all is fulfilled.
