i have a question, so by your definition, "She did it herself" is wrong, but "She did it to herself" is correct? "He bought it himself" is wrong, but "He bought it for himself" is correct? I'm so confused

This is a late response to you, and you might already have figured it out, but I'd figure I'd answer just in case! "She did it herself" is correct. Herself here is an intensive pronoun, used to emphasize. "She did it to herself" would also be correct, but herself is a reflexive pronoun in this case, used to note the object of the sentence. Same thing for the next 2 examples. "He bought it himself" is correct, himself = intensive, and the other is reflexive. Hope this helps.
