This is the tough part ,cleaning up the shop ,doing a PM on the Dozer is all very necessary and well done inside when it's minus 9 outside ,also a good time to inventory and buy what you need for the rest of the 23 season

Finally some JohnDeere Green. Told Clint he needed to paint an 850 JohnDeere Green just to be different than everyone else. 😂 The oil filter housing is probably used on a farm tractor as well if not the entire engine. We used the TRC products at my dads shop and were always really satisfied with their products.

I see how it works Arron cleans the shop so you can find things and Captain cleans the inside of the equipment.

Hey DP.....just to throw my two pennies in the mix since this is one of the things that start arguments...LOL!!! In the 40 plus years I was wrenching on equipment and trucks, from the 9U D6, D4D, multiple excavators and backhoes, and all the trucks from the old gas jobs to the newer diesel powered trucks, when doing an oil change we NEVER put a drop of oil in the filter....EVER!!!! It's easier to install and avoids a possible huge expense and mess when the filter gets dropped. We NEVER had one single problem with any of the trucks or equipment in all those years. AND....Caterpillar actually specifies that the filters not be filled when installing new ones for their truck and equipment engines. Josh at the Adept Ape channel actually did an episode about it (if you don't know he's a Cat truck engine mechanic) because he got tired of the comments about how he was doing damage to a rebuilt engine because he didn't fill the oil filters....and he laid down the facts and it made me smile...because I've had more than one argument about the subject over the years! Just figured I'd throw it out there and you can do with it as you will!

I've said it before but you are very lucky to have MBTS working along side you. A days work will just fly by.

One thing nice about winter in Indiana is we subs get fresh in shop Mike and Arron comedy hour entertainment is back. Definitely good to keep equipment serviced if you want it to be reliable on the job. Days below zero are perfect for that. Here in Miami that would be any day it's in the 50's and we are wearing multiple layers of clothes instead of our usual tee or tropical button down shirts and shorts. Sandals optional. Our snow comes in a cone with raspberry syrup on top. I'd imagine the big green 850J Dozer makes a crappy hunting blind so out goes the Jerry toe stubing M16 / M4A1 stock mount. I'd put those bolts back in in case the holes are exposed to possible outside moisture intrusion.

With all of the oils y’all go through on equipment you should be saving that stuff and getting a clean burn heating system. They’re absolutely awesome in the winter time they make massive heat perfect for extreme cold conditions.

'Don't put it down, put it away' is a motto and habit I attempt to work by. When I do it it really is amazing how easy it is to find things in the right place. Loving MBTS - he adds to the videos with his banter and knowledge. That pillow was a fantastic idea - I'd suggest you don't put that one back though.

I have used TRC Textrans transmission fluid and was very satisfied. My vehicle shifted smooth as silk after a drain and fill. I have used the 880 C&C grease as well with good results. Their products aren't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

That fuel filter on the plastic housing snaps into the bottom of that housing. It’s the same fuel/water separator Deere uses on their sprayers.

I understand the messy workbench. No matter how much space you have stuff seems to land on it without any effort at all until you can’t see the workbench and are forced to organize the mess.

Nice clean up, sure makes working a lot more pleasant not to mention finding tools 🔨 I write the mileage and date on painters masking tape with a sharpie for maintenance records under the hood and just write it on the filters. That way peel the old one off and add fresh. The 3/4" impact will get the drain plug tight if Aaron can lift it.

Try use a tire crayon on the rear window for maintance hrs and serviced filters easily removable and get a Book to keep all your machinery info in and services etc.
