Hey man. You have my photo of my nine of clubs tattoo. As you know I got mine done in March. I had it done as part tribute to you. but it means so much more to me. I was in a shit state for the best part of ten years. January I discovered a madison and watched all his KZfaq and so much rang true in my mind. To cut short. The nine of clubs to me means the start of the rest of my life with me in control and not my mental health. As you once told me “embrace the madness, keep the focus”. That will me my next tattoo quote.

The 9C is actually the card I’d give to represent Dante’s inferno. Dante was obsessed with the number three (which the clubs represents in a way of the 4 suits) and 9 is 3 squared which is why he places 9 circles in hell (circles like the club is made up of). Something I thought was kinda cool and matches the hellions theme.

Why was this so inspiring? It actually connected with me a lot. I’ve been planning a playing card related tattoo for a while and this is definitely gonna be the one now. Can’t go to London but I’m definitely getting it done 🙏.

I truly appreciate the story daniel, and love the idea of deep and complex meanings to small ideas like the 9C. Every individual, including myself, can find something in it that is part of who they are. I have been trying to incorporate more faith and hope to my daily life, and I don't want to have any part of my life scratched out or lazer removed. Damn, missed the tattoo video. It's remarkable how often an artist's "worst" work is my favorite stuff they did. Revealing too much, creating without regard for quality or pleasing anyone, or just plain fucking up... these works are where I feel the strongest connection with the artist who created them.

I thought I was tripping, I saw when that tattoo video was posted and was busy atm and really excited to check it out later. Wasgone within a few hours, figured that was your reasoning, but was surprised nobody else mentioned it.

Okay, yesterday I played with a deck and watched something on YT. I think I did charlier revolution cut and half of cards fell from my hand and since I was on my bed they fell between bed and wall and gone under the bed. I tought of pulling them out tomorrow, than I forgot. Now I watched this and took that half or whatever of the deck that was by my bed and just got a tought to see if 9 of clubs is in this half. Looked and it was last card (or actually first on top). Why I gone looking? Two times in my life I found card on street. Once, first time, it was also nine of clubs all dirty and ripped, (that was few years ago, I didnt do magic then, it was some weird card deck) and second time this summer, one card on the grass, blue bycicle, but it was face down. Believe or not ppl, I KNEW it was 9 of clubs. And, it was. Now, when I saw it on top of the deck I laughed and continued to faro, cut cards etc just fidgeting without looking at the deck. I did pinky count double lift and looked down, DAMN NINE OF CLUBS second, perfectly for double lift. Magic is......well.....alive and well. Allways was. At least magic, as in esoteric sense, the real magic. PS. If you see MIchael Webber again, tell him I sad him to go fuck himself. I really didnt like this about solitude. Because it connected. Some things fell into place.

You're free, of course, to use it as you wish. As I'm writing about this, I'd love to share a card technique and particular concept I believe to be the first to approach in that way. By closing a in-hand spread pack of cards, a card can be palmed (classic, gambler's, tenkai, you name it) in the hand that's holding the pack, and/or controlled on the bottom of the pack. There are way more possibilities from this, but this is what I've discovered from this move so far. Just a heads up. Keep doing what you do. Thank you for everything.
