The 9 step guide to perfectly sleeved custom length cables

I have long wanted to make a detailed video of how the cables in my builds are made, so here we go. My guide for making the perfect length cables, every time.
The process consists of 9 steps:
1: Cut wire to length + 5-10 cm
2: Crimp one end
3: Put sleeving and heatshrink on, and finish that end
4: Stretch the sleeving, and cut where you can feel the wire ending
5: Burn the end you just cut, and squeeze the sleeving together
6: Route and cut the wire to final length
7: Crimp the other end of the cable
8: Stretch the sleeving again, it should now fit precisely with the terminal
9: Put heatshrink on, and finish the last end.

I've finally learned what I've seen others try to teach and you did it without talking, placed a step by step "how to" diagram without #'s or words. You just taught your method in the most streamlined and understandable way possible. And you published this solo five minute tutorial in a way that every single capable person on the planet can use. I know that there are many people seeing this who realize this but I am pointing them out for the ones who don't. This five minute clip is probably the most efficient tutorial I think I've ever seen not just on youtube but instruction manuals and other forms of information. Brilliant. Have you ever thought of working for a large firm innovating tutorials. Being able to show how to use a companies product universally to the masses is an invaluable asset for international organizations. I wouldn't sell yourself short though. Thanks for the video bro. Your case is dope.

I did custom cables back in 2011, inspired by MDPC builds, and its an insane amount of work. Later when I wanted to make changes, d'oh, cables were only good for that build. Looks great, but I'd never do it again.

ScytheNoire nah making custom length cables never a good idea if you plan to use them in another build or if you upgrade, better buying an extension kit or leaving some extra length in the cable

Your work is meticulous and beautiful. Very well done. My dad used to work on big ships and as a child, I remember seeing miles of cables run in the same fashion, carefully cut to length and well dressed. I strive to do this level of work, but seem to somehow come out lacking on one or two of the wires before I'm finished. Thanks for the video. Again, excellent work!

I do not like water cooling in general, but the organization of the cables is incredible. That's exactly what I like about modular power supplies. You can connect only the cables you need, not have a bunch of people wondering where to hide.
